ha, funny you should say that but from what they see is the minute we get married its my responsibility(which it is) so thats out of the question. her sister did well, grad of campbell pharmacy school and is making a killing now so i'm hoping for the same outcome. i can deal with a couple of years of hardship, did it in the Marines for 4 years. her parents wouldn't be able to help much if they would since they support their son who gets a house(no rent) and all the utilities paid for minus cable and who has 2 kids already. i'm just looking forward to the future and the next car.

yea, no worries. She'll be making more money in a few years. Its cool to see this. 'selling Z because wife is going to Vet school and will then earn even more money' instead of 'selling Z because my wife is a b1tch and won't let me keep my car because she is busy getting manicures and food shopping'

well both of you are driving something now, right?

i could save about 4 grand a year if I drove something else

in your case she could get money for school or sell her car

but that's why I'm single

Have you considered extending your loan period, the additional interest would probably be offset by the hit you would take on getting selling it. Plus you would get to keep your car...

If you can scrape by keeping it, i would look at the rest of the budget first...although i drove a POS for a few years while my wife went to school, now i have the Z and a toy car, well truck, that i'm building for the summer, ect. It paid off in the end.

Good luck with the sale! It will be better in the long run IMO and they'll probably have a 400z by the time you start up again lol!

I highly recommend you or she work at a strip club one night a week. It pays well and you'll get to keep your car. She can probably earn more, but I'm sure there are some fat old women out there who will pay to see a naked young guy. There is always sperm dontation too, but it will take a lot of visits to cover a Z payment.

I can't help but respect your decision. I'm kinda in the same boat except I won't be getting rid of a car I love...rather, I will be holding back on getting into a Z and that was after having everything set except my signature. I'll probably only have to hold back for a year or two, but I'm confident this will be the right decision in the long run. Since my lady will also be making a boatload more than me, letting me have my toy is the least she can do in exchange for my patience. In the back of my mind I have been hoping for a new RX-7 anyway. Hopefully Mazda sets it in stone in the next couple of years so everything works itself out for me. Meanwhile, I'll just keep stashing the cash away.
