Bluetooth

Hello!
I have the 370z roadster. Special ordered and happy with the car but for 2 things one is the bluetooth. Everyone I talk to tells me I cut out every other word. It is SO irritating. I keep telling the dealership and they tell me that no one else has complained about it. Personally I think he's a fool just because no one else is having a problem than I shouldn't?
Anyway I'd like to know if anyone else is having this problem.

Thank you!

I've not heard of anyone with this problem. Surely it would be easy to show to the dealer though.

Oh boy you'd think red-zed. Love the zed.:) I've been watching too much top gear :)
I think its because I am a female and I haven't got bitchy enough.
They just keep telling me there are no other complaints. How far fetched is it for one car to have a problem? I just think they are lazy. Maui time
Aloha!!

I have been using my bluetooth in my car for over a year with no problems. I am also a very techy gadget and phone person.

I would bet money the issue is your phone. Try using google and put in your phone model and bluetooth then hit search. You may find your answer there.

As Blue suggested, it is possible it is your phone. It may be worth checking to see if it happens with a friends phone. If it occurs from both phones, you should be able to demonstrate it happening to the dealer by making a simple phone call. If it does not happen from the other phone, then it is obviously your phone.

I'm going to go with Blue and Red on this one (White...White...are you out there? ). I had a terrible time with my iPhone (first the 3G and then the 4G) on this bluetooth. Same issue - 60-70% of my conversation cut out and it was usually worse for the people on the other end of the line. I went back and forth with my local Nissan dealership, who felt it was the phone. Finally, they took me into the service bay and had 4 different mechanics pair their own phones up with the car and make a car with no problems.

Around that time, I upgraded my OS for the 4G and that particular upgrade (not sure which version I upgraded to at the time) seemed to resolve most of the issues. Now, mind you, you're still going to get a lot of road noise no matter what you do, which is going to sound worse for your listener, but the change in OS definitely resolved the cut-out issue. You can try to sound-dampen your Z (like I did) but just keep in mind that most sound-dampening techniques aren't going to solve the problem, only reduce it. I did get some ambient noise improvement (mainly from the road noise) from the sound-dampening material I used (which I applied to the back, firewall, doors and floor) but it's still far from quiet.

Long and short of it: it may very well be your phone and even if you resolve the phone issue, your listeners are still going to have to decipher your voice over the pretty high road/tire noise that isn't going to go away. But I can say that I am now at a point where the people on the other end of the phone don't have a major issue with hearing me anymore, even on the freeway.

I had terrible trouble with an old iPhone 3G. Once I upgraded the software (OS) all the issues went away. My money says it is your phone.....

I have the exact same problem and am at my wits end! Have had two phones in the span of time I've had the car: Palm Pre and now Motorola Atrix on Android 2.2. Both give me the same un-usable results. Absolutely CANNOT complete a call, even though I can hear just fine. Just the mic doesn't seem to pick me up properly.
Did it with a dealer rep along for the ride while we called the dealership - they agreed but could not fix it. Still say it's my phone even though both phones did the same thing. I am pissed now.

I would suggest perhaps swapping cells with a friend for a couple of days if at all possible, pair it up and see how it goes. Easiest way to eliminate your HU.

Just my $.02 tho. :)

FYI, I have not had any issues with my Samsung Omnia i910. Crystal clear (at least that's what all my callers say).
