As a sport owner with a few mods, I will say yes. I like having the LSD, big brakes and tires. I've lowered the car and improved the ride. I'm installing some aero pieces that will improve the looks. I've spent about $3000 and wish that these mods could have been options for a coouple grand more than I had to pay. But think of this, what car is available from the factory with the looks and performance we have? WRX STI, Mitsu EVO, neither available in a vert. Yes the corvette will out perform and has great looks but look at price. So I'm happy.

Really? Sounds easy, huh?

In reality, trying to find this OEM stuff is pretty difficult.

I've got other OEM parts for sale from my Mods... I couldn't give them away. It seems trying to find buyers and sellers and actually get them together is the hard part.

Put another way.... Oo, Oo.. Just to to your local wrecking yard. There should be at least a dozen 370's in each yard :bowrofl:

Yes, sports pkg is worth it if you are buying a manual (synchro rev match). Especially so, if you don't plan on modding the other components that comes with the Pkg. But, you can't get synchro rev match any other way.

The question is "is it worth it" As in does 3k justify the things it comes with, and you know it does in a money stand point, Do it say yes, I know you want to. LOL

Let's try it this way:
Rays or Volk 19" Wheels and Bridgestone Tyres: $????
LSD + Installation: $???
Front and Rear Spoliers: $???
4 Piston Brake Calipers: $???

100% worth it do the math....come on why buy a sports car with just basics, the BBKs are a plus alone..

I'm only going to bring up one point in this thread, as I knew I'd get slammed and insulted for my unpopular opinion.

When I nose into an apex and slide around a corner, or when I gas it and take off, I'm not thinking to myself, "blah so boring, wish this was going faster." I'm thinking "WHEEEEE". The BBK, LSD, and SRM are nice, but not necessary to enjoy the Z. And as far as the appearance elements, they're nice, but I still get several compliments every week on how my car looks, and I think it's gorgeous. So, to me, sports package wasn't worth the dough, and I stand by that.

flame on.

it all comes down to personal preference. but here is something to think about pay the extra 3k and get the sport package and if you want to change things down the road or even immediately you could easily sell the rims and brakes and make more than enough to cover the initial cost and have more to spend on upgrades if you can live without the parts unless you are a baller. I vote yes and I like the nav system for the styling and function.

I have heard alot of talk, even from my friends that the rev sync takes away from the "driving experience" and is cheating because we dont have to heal toe to downshift. I agreed with him up untill i downshifted through all the gears effortlessly and had a grin from ear to ear.

Def feel that the 3k is worth the sports package.

Even if that were the case, your friend could turn it off whenever he wants, so... :icon14:

I thought I would too, then after a few weeks of having it on and hearing that beautiful downshift every time I pulled up at a light made me change my mind... now I love it!

You didn't have a choice. They don't sell base models in Canada. All of yours come with sport and touring, so you don't count.
