when did you buy your car? :)

TongMan 02-11-2011 03:08 PM

June 2010

Cell 02-11-2011 03:49 PM

That is a ton of driving since June. I bought my car near the end of August and I only have 651 miles on it. All the snow is making it impossible to drive.

zmyride 02-11-2011 03:52 PM

i bought mine in jan 2010 and have 4500 miles. first oil change at the dealer, i'll change her around 5000 miles

not if u live in california. 651 is how much people drive in a week.

TongMan 02-11-2011 04:03 PM

The weather had been awesome in CA. High 60's to Low 70's, sunny, its hard to keep the Z in the garage.

Yea, I know and I don't want to keep it there for so long but the weather just sucks *** here in Chicago. If I drove then my car would act more like a plow truck than a sports car. On top of that I also work 6 days a week driving the 4x4 around.

TongMan 02-11-2011 07:28 PM

Maybe it would be a better idea to have bought a STi or an Evo living in Chicago.

sonic370 02-11-2011 07:52 PM

man i feel bad i put 17,000 on mine in a little over a year!
oh well I'll let the next guy worry about the mileage...
I'm having to much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

TongMan 02-11-2011 07:59 PM

Hella random, but I bought this for my car for turning 7000 miles.

i remember the last time i brought my car in for an oil change. the service advisor looked at the mileage indicator and said "the last oil change was less than 1k miles ago" :D

why would you change it after only 1k?

the owner's manual suggests that the oil be replaced every 3 months but i drive so little that i decided to replace the oil every 6 months. i don't think i should double it and replace the oil once a year.

dwntwnall4u 02-11-2011 10:51 PM

I already have 600 miles on mine since Dec. 27, 2011 and only drove it a handful of times. My mileage gauge must not be calibrated?

It's reads a little high (about 3-7%, like most cars) but should be accurate. You'd have great grounds for a lawsuit if it wasn't.

Man you roll that mug don't ya, this is not a collectors item I'm with ya...hehe. I have 19,600 on mine in 19 months and I split time betweeen it and the Max.

Slade 02-12-2011 06:13 PM

I got mine back in July, and I'm sitting at 6,820 miles. I'm surprised that I put over 6k on it because it doesn't seem like I drive it that much other than to turn corners, trips to Houston or Louisiana are out of the question. I need to get the 944 going again and ride it until the wheels come off.

EL Diablo 02-12-2011 06:18 PM

just cracked 1,000 miles today...
about 7 weeks of ownership so far.

plato 02-12-2011 10:40 PM

I bought my Z this past October and I just hit 8000 miles. I'm doing a lot of driving. :)

onzedge 02-12-2011 10:46 PM

I have had mine 10 months, 4 days and have 14,235 miles. I gave up worrying about miles and just drive. F*** it, it is the best of my vehicles and I just have to drive it.

Footloose301 02-12-2011 11:38 PM

I got mine mid October 2010 and just hit 8000 miles today.

SteveZissou 02-12-2011 11:42 PM

I got mine in July and its at about 7200 miles... that's what happens when you drive it across the country

Mr&Mrs 02-13-2011 12:37 AM

First owner had mine from Sept. 2009 to May of 2010 put 4100 miles on it. I just hit 7000this month.

Yeah, that was me. I get to LA a couple times a year -- my folks live in Long Beach.

mick 02-13-2011 03:25 PM

my dd now has about the same mileage as my z (4k). looking back, i should have gotten the dd about the same time that i got my z. i got it 8 months after i got my z.
