All Nissan employees (employees of the company itself or affiliates) can provide the Vehicle Purchase Plan benefit to family or friends (and of course themselves).

You can find details of the program here: Nissan Vehicle Purchase Program

You would be able to participate under the “C Plan”.

All employees are encouraged to use the program for themselves and family and friends; however as I said above, we are generally restricted to just a few per year (including any vehicles we might want to buy for ourselves)…that restriction has been lifted for this quarter.

Typically, we don’t get anything “out of it” except the chance to promote the products of the company we work for. For this quarter, however, for any VPP claim number we obtain that ultimately results in a sale, our name is put in a raffle and the winner will receive the free use of any Nissan (sans GT-R unfortunately) or Infinity vehicle of their choice for year.

It’s a nice prize but given the thousands of employees who will be participating, I’m not overly optimistic about winning - if I happen to be lucky enough, I’ll let you all know!

Should be able to save enough extra to pay for that oil cooler that Nissan left off the 370Z

Thanks for the helping hand, Robert. I asked my sales guy to get some information about VPP today.

The job situation I'm in right now is getting more gloomy each day based on rumors. This is the 3rd round less in less than a year, and it is approaching fast on the same week my Z is delivered (end of this month).

Sounds like a win-win situation then for everyone involved! So, what vehicle would you pick if you win (seeing that you already own a Z)?

I haven't had any oil temp problems so far although I've only autocrossed once so far this season...I'm taking the car to the Dragon (if you don't know what that is just do a search for "Tail Of The Dragon") this Saturday and another autocross on Sunday (assuming the weather holds).

I hope that if not this model year, maybe by next year they will offer the extra coolers either as options or include them with the sports package...summer get's pretty hot in Tennessee!

That's a good question and it would depend on the "timing" in terms of what was available.

Maybe a G37 drop-top or a Nismo 370...I also like the FX50s.

I might take you up on this within the next month or two if the program is still available, Robert. Otherwise this is still a cool thing to do and I hope some people here get to take advantage of it and save some scrilla towards secksi parts.

Unfortunately no, it's for continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii.

Robert,

Yes, I am familiar with the Dragon. I've run it in my last 4 cars. None of which had an over heating issue. I'm looking forward to running it next month in my 370Z. In-between I'll be at Mid-Ohio. Please let us know how your run turns out. Hopefully no issues.

You need to come to ZAttack8 in Nashville April 17/18th ( Middle Tennessee Z Club )...we usually have a nice contingent from Ohio (ZROC) and this year will be no exception...the car show is at the new Nissan Headquarters complex and should be a He** of a good time (especially the Friday night party...if you've never seen a blender powered by a gasoline engine you need to come just for that!).

So pretty much, if we do make the purchase under your id or whatever term you use to promote the sale, you will have more raffles in the drawing right? I'm within about a month of buying the z and would like to help you in any way possible. Let me know what i need to do. Thanks bro.

Right...every time I pass a claim number onto someone that actually results in a sale, it's like buying another raffle ticket for the drawing...whether that will appreciably increase my changes or not is hard to say considering how many people will be "in" the drawing but every little bit helps!
