I drive mine every day and it has been in the snow and on wintry roads for most of it's life. The car drives fabulously, of course I do have snow tires on it but it's never even spun a tire once... unless I wanted it to.

Those traction things might work and their a convenient size but be careful with them. Anything under the tire can become a projectile, you shouldn't be spinning the tires anyway but just be aware.

if you're not careful, you'll go sideways in the snow instead of in the direction you want. on the occasion I had to pull up a freshly snowed on driveway or pull out of one, I sometimes ended up far in my yard instead of on the street. pretty good at melting the snow on the ground, then I get traction.

I hate when I shoot for the street and end up in the yard!
