I checked the stores near me in Cincinnati with no luck. I'll be in Columbus this weekend and will check there.

Marcus come on step it up we need everything we can throw at them dude. A win for me is a win for all. I need more ammo.

I emailed the editor promising to subscribe if he hooked up a pdf of the page.lol lol You never know until you ask!

I also emailed C&D (in reference the to oil cooler listed as an option) they are total A-holes, they didn't respond and I need more info.

I might have to make a youtube video of me burning my car and driver mag collection along with road and track!! They do not care about their readers/subscribers and that is sad!

Marcus,
Possible to use macro setting on a digital camera and take a pic of the page?

tranceformer 04-01-2009 10:02 PM

Tail of the Dragon? I'll be there in May taking my 370z for a few runs. I'm almost sure I'll have to stop to let it cool off. But we'll see!

alan93rsa 04-02-2009 10:43 AM

Would that be the end of May?

tranceformer 04-02-2009 10:47 AM

Yep, I'll be there with my car club (see sig) May 28 thru 31.

spearfish25 04-02-2009 10:52 AM

Yeah, just shoot a digital pic of the magazine page. Any decent camera can pull that off...just use bright ambient lighting (put it by a window on a sunny day) and don't use the camera's flash.

Okay guys, I can take a pic. Just tell me how to upload it properly and get it to display in the post! Thanks...

Just add it as an attachment to the post. Use advanced mode, not quick reply.

I'm getting grey waiting for the goods!

Sorry to break the news to you guys, but I own a G37 and my car went into limp mode while doing a canyon run out here on Palomar at midnite. Lots of people have had oil heating issues with the G37 so far, and I witnessed it firsthand. I was hoping Nissan would've addressed this for you 370Z guys since they've known about the problem.

But yeah, Limp mode FTL. Redline drops to about 6,200, throttle is reduced to about 40% no matter if you have it floored.

Since then, I've changed to Eneos 5W30 and haven't had that problem come up since, and I've done the same canyon run twice now.

Hey everyone, here are the pics. Sorry about the blurry last pic, iPhone does bad close-ups. However, the paragraph in the middle of the last image is from the top left part of page 74, and reads:

"After a few passes [of Tail of the Dragon], the car is crying for a time-out. I've held the Z at the topside of second gear through the last two miles of curves, and the oil temp has risen to 40 degrees past the safe zone. NISMO will be offering an optional oil cooler for this car, but the bean counters should have allowed them as standard equipment; [the engine]'s cooking much too quickly."

(The author says earlier in the article that he was shifting from second to third gear and back throughout the drive)

Hope this helps in our quest to get what we deserve from Nissan...
