Maintenance Plus Vehicle Service Plan

How much does each type cost, and what is covered, and what is the time/mileage period for each?

Can I get it at any dealer, or just the dealer I purchased from?

Thanks

Anyone?

Nissan Plans & Differences

They can quote you a price over the phone or you can shop any Nissan authorized dealer. If is best to purchase this plan within the first 90 days or before the first recommended oil change.

I got the Gold Plus plan 75,000 miles (Schedule I) for $1600.
You can buy it at any dealer.

So since I have the Gold Preferred plan, I just have to do my own oil change and take my vehicle in every 3750 miles for inspection on everything else?

I believe that you might be confusing the plans as the Security plans are different than the Maintenance plans. You will need to follow the prescribed maintenance schedule, whether you choose to do them yourself or through the dealer, but the maintenance costs will be on your dime unless you purchased the separate Maintenance plan.

I got my Z 3 days ago and I'm pondering all these plans. My concern is that I'll shell out for the Preferred Plan and then they will just breeze through and check the boxes saying they inspected all those items without actually doing it. Do the mechanics really say "Hmmm, this guy is on Schedule 1 (or preferred or schedule 2), I have to do A, B, C..."?
My guess is that they have a routine and you get the same deal regardless of what you pay for. Granted, this is my first Nissan so I could be vastly mistaken.

Spearfish, you bring up a great point. Does anyone know if his concern is a valid one? I am considering the maintenance plan (no need for the "service" plan until just before the 3yr/36k warranty expires, right?) as well, and wouldn't want it to be a waste...
