That's pretty much why I decided I did not want syncro rev match; this is my first car with a manual transmission and I want to learn how to dance without any "cheating" temptations. That said, I was shocked at how well it worked when I was test driving Zs and can think of quite a number of times it would have come in handy.

I started to learn how to do it as soon as I started driving. Watching the old Option and Best Motoring videos got me into it. With that said I've been doing it for years now and it's really fun, driving around town and on the track.

When I got my Z it turned it from being a pleasure into somewhat of an awkward transition. I still do it but the SRM really is nice to have... it is actually one of the reasons why I bought the sport package.

I loved SRM and used it a lot, but I also loved to heel-toe. Now that I have the Mustang I have no choice but to heel-toe (and I'm perfectly OK with that) but SRM was pretty fun.

I was also more comfortable letting my girlfriend drive the Z because I knew she couldn't screw up a downshift as long as SRM was enabled.

I love the SRM on the track, but not so much on the street.

SRM is cool in my book.

mustang- ive been heel toe'ing in my snow boots all winter long driving my honda. :icon17:

I am giving it a try in mine. Sometimes I hate it, other times i like it.

I love my SRM. It stays on at all times. I tried it off once and things were smoother but I like to be able to down shift into a corner with less foot work and coming up to a stop sign/light i can brake and down shift at the same time.

I'm the opposite, I like it on the street but turn it off on the track (auto-x).

What's there to gripe about..... If you don't like it... Turn it off! It's not like you have to keep turning it on and off. It remains from the last position you left it in. BTW it's awesome the SRM.

i had heel toes down in my bucket (86 accord hatch LOL) but this damn pedal pivot on the bottom makes it kinda awkward for me.

Loved the SRM! If you're using this kind of logic why have ABS? I mean sure the computer does it faster and better, but it's cheating not to pump the brakes the old fashioned way!

^LOL...I thought the same thing while reading the article.

While Auto-X I'm not doing a whole lot of downshifting so that's why I leave it off. Plus there were some other weird things going on like the car accelerating when it shouldn't. I'm not blaming SRM but it only happened when SRM was turned on.

(Nothing crazy like a stuck throttle...just a fraction of second where my foot was off the gas and the car accelerated)

I disliked SRM, and that's mostly why I bought a base model. It doesn't jive with my shifting style. I move the shifter around a lot. When I was test driving a Z with SRM on, the engine was having a fit. "blip blip VROOM blip :engage gear: vroom"

I love my SRM, its just awesome besides the point when i'm coming up to a light and other people think I'm revving on purpose and think i want to race them. lol
