Engine or Clutch Rattle on Restart?

Hey guys,

I was re-starting my car probably 5 seconds after i shut it off when I noticed that the engine seemed to rattle for like a second upon restart. I noticed other people noticed a rattle when they shut their cars off, but I haven't read anything on restart. Anybody else noticing this issue?

Our clutches are light weight so it'll make those chatters and rattles...
I think it means you aren't engaging properly.

I noticed a chattering clutch the first time I drove my car. My throw out bearing is also louder than any other car I've owned with the mileage that it has.

I had a twin disk clutch in my STi and it sounded like 2 frying pans clanking together when you cranked it up.

I wouldn't call it an "issue," more like a characteristic... haha

It is like in software -- it is not a bug, it's a feature.
