UPDATED!!! - Over christmas, I also got a White Ebbro Fairlady Z to finally match my actual car. The detail on it is amazing... much better than the Maisto. Also comes in a display case already. But it is smaller (1:43) and doors don't open. I also got a hot wheel 370Z in blue. I want to find the yellow one :) I found that at Toys R Us!

My wife surprised me with the following toys :) I get to add them to my collection (last pic). All the model cars I have, I owned the real car at some point in the past...

Anyone know if a 1/18th scale from kyosho or autoart is available or still available? Akira posted a pic here a while ago that showed some 370z's in a box that said "Nissan Model Car Collection", and they looked pretty sweet. How and where can I get them? I am ordering a white Ebbro and also got a 370Z roadmice (pc mouse) on the way!!! :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys! It was last week... Yeah, the wife shops online a lot and she figured I've always loved my cars as well as my model cars, so she thought she'd do the same for the Z!

The silver one is a Maisto, and I think they come in red, black, and silver, if I am not mistaken. So answer to your question is "yes" (I think). But they're so rare. One place the wife called took our order, but was out of stock! :shakes head:

So your avatar, what's the Z there? A hotwheel? I ordered a PC mouse that's modeled as a Z... not sure if it's the same thing? yours looks smaller.

Yep. Kyosho and Autoart are who I am waiting on. So far they have not said they are working on anything for the 370 yet. :(

I really hope they do because I REALLY want one.

that's a RC choro-Q car in my avatar. :tup: wife got it for me during her last visit to japan. ive seen them sold through ebay if you want to get them.

i have a good sized digi-Q RC car collection too... including the old timer GTR and calsonic truck, etc. :icon17:

No doubt... they make the BEST imo. In that last pic I have above, you see the red FD RX7? The big one? That's a Kyosho. I had that for about 6 years. IMO, it's the best model car I have ever seen or owned. The details are amazing. Nice and heavy, excellent quality. Heck, the paint is even smooth enough to WAX (and yes, I HAVE waxed it... isn't that sad???).

So yeah, let me know if you hear anything on the Kyosho's or Autoart's...

I will let you know. I used to collect diecasts and yes, I waxed all mine too. Even built a small photo booth to take pictures of them... :ugh2: :icon17:

Dck- very nice! i sometimes wish i took courses in air brushing when i was younger...

ive been to tamiya's booth at toy shows where this talented artist was demonstrating their airbrush on a 1/24 scale car like yours. it's AMAZING how clean and thin they can paint the body panels. honestly it's better looking than any diecast ive seen.

Yeah I've been into plastic models for a long time now. I've also made an Enzo Ferrari a few years back. I'm thinking about doing an SLS AMG in matte black next, or if an LFA becomes available I'll hold out for that.
I just wish I had a better camera. :'(

Yeah, I was a model building whore as well. Had a website and everything. Oh god I'd go to my workshop at 8PM and by the time I would go to bed it would be sunrise. :icon17:

Okay guys... I updated my first post in this thread with some new pics! I got a White Ebbro Z and a hot wheel blue Z. I still have to post a pic of the blue wireless PC mouse I got too!!! ;)

I NEED MORE!!! Like when Autoart or Kyosho do it...

i wish hotwheels would've finished the tail lamps on those blue z's. :( i have one too and it's just a plain blue.

over the holidays i bought a Z01 from Matchbox as a stocking-stuffer and both front and rear are decaled. :D

Yeah the hot wheels thing isn't really that great to look at, but hey, it was 98 cents, and might be a collectable :) My kid was trying to play with it, but I told him sorry, it can't be opened!!!
