SynchroRev Match

I just bought my 370Z 2011 and i just realized is not equipped with the SynchroRev Match system. Is there any way I can update my car to have this feature? Thanks..

Dreezy562 12-19-2010 11:59 PM

no... unless you buy a whole bunch of expensive sh!t. shoulda got the sport package

Bleek 12-20-2010 12:00 AM

SynchroRev only comes on the sports package.

Shaman 12-20-2010 01:07 AM

It's a cool little gizmo but it really helps if you plan on tracking the car.
I actually leave it off because I like to motor brake a lot on the st.
you can also rev match by yourself which it kinda feels good knowing you are doing it yourself.

piece of advise do some more research next time so you know what you are getting or NOT getting on a car.

What is 'motor brak[ing]'?

If you mean downshifting and letting the engine slow you down, SRM makes no difference.

For the OP, no you can't add it. And you won't miss it if you've never tried it. So I suggest never ever trying SRM in someone else's Z.

Shaman 12-20-2010 07:47 AM

Thank you all... I think i can live w/o that... I should do a better research :(

Dreezy562 12-20-2010 12:07 PM

Lol spearfish

Learn to heel toe you'll be fine

Jeffblue 12-20-2010 12:14 PM

if you get a limited slip differential and a nice big brake kit, you've got the more important aspects of the sport package all set. SRM is really cool and i used it for a few months, but i haven't used it since i turned it off for the first time which was like 4 months ago.

synchro rev match kinda defeat the purpose of driving a manual because you're supposed to do everything yourself :)

daisuke149 12-20-2010 12:42 PM

i thought someone said that all 2011 would come with SRM.. maybe i mis read that

lol ********. nobody I know can heel and toe.

leave the H&T for the track, normal driving doesn't need it.

Unless you're me.

Hugoneus 12-20-2010 01:00 PM

I have my SRM always on. I really like this feature, as a not-so-experienced manual driver, it really improves the quality of the ride for me.

Nothing like down-shifting from 6th to 4th going 80MPH without worry! :P

i do it all the time its fun. normal driving also doesn't require a car to have more than a 150 hp FWD econobox.;)

Vegitto-kun 12-20-2010 02:56 PM

exactly sometimes I wonder why I got a sports car. I never go faster than 120km/h on the road.

i had a ton of fun driving around my area the other night, i dont think i went above 60 the whole time but it was a blast banging through the gears. :driving:

Vegitto-kun 12-20-2010 03:24 PM

yes and "blasting through the gears" get you locked up

haha, do you really think that after driving this car exclusively for 8 months i can't drive it smoothly? its a pretty clunky transmission if you don't adapt to its quirks, but if you do, you can drive it and have it feel like your driving an auto when you shift.

I am talking about cops :roflpuke2:

flying through the gears means sporty driving which is cop pulling over stuff.

hah i thought you meant blasting through the gears that i lock up or something like lock up the wheels by shifting into the wrong gear. i think i was doing like 10mph over the speed limit tops at any point

Vegitto-kun 12-20-2010 04:40 PM

Haha, the speed limit isn't even the problem. any form of sporty driving, fast acceleration, even abit of wheelspin = reason to get pulled over

yea. its lame. i haven't gotten pulled over in my 370z yet. i got pulled over in my altima once for going 40 in a 30 but just got a warning, since it was obvious they were just looking for drugs. i try to be smart about where i 'have some fun'

Vegitto-kun 12-20-2010 04:45 PM

I got pulled over last night, traffic jam, cop behind me smelled the petroll smell from my car and pulled me over.

I have long tube header, he basically gave me a week to change back to stock cats and then go back to their office to show it.

nicknick 12-20-2010 04:52 PM

Speed does not kill, speed is not evil! It is inappropriate speed in an inappropriate environment. There are a lot of other factors that "contribute" to road accidents/deaths. These other factors are not measurable and hence government can not measure and "tax" you for them. Their motives are not honourable, they are purely seeking an extra form of revenue under the guise of "road safety"! AND......we cop it sweet don't we?

jesus christ, have they nothing better to do? so what are you gonna do? throw on your cats for a week? have them check and go back?

Vegitto-kun 12-20-2010 05:49 PM

I am just going to go back to stock cats, I am not gonna risk getting fined + the cost of taking off the headers, then putting stock back on and then headers back on again.

radek7633 12-20-2010 06:09 PM

I got a ticket for doing 35 in a 25... I thought it was a 25 zone... not even in my own town... cop was a douche looking to meet his quota at the end of the month

any reason to pull ya over, they'll take it

Shaman 12-20-2010 09:49 PM

I was able to read in details about this and I now understand it is a nice feature but not essential. For a racing car, I'll prefer to manually recreate that effect synchro!
