Bose w/Nav
Interesting discovery. After driving a Z with bose, but w/out nav...and now driving one w/Bose/Nav, there is a massive improvement in audio quality with the Navigation unit. It almost feels worthless to have it in the non-nav cars, based on how much better it sounds with. WTH?

eh I thought that the bose and nav are the same package.
so sport package has no bose and nav touring has bose and nav |
sport package on both?

touring comes with bose. nav is an upgrade for touring. sport package is an upgrade for base or for the touring model... i think thats right...? i dont think you can get the nav without having the touring model, which has the bose |

Makes the road noise go away by just turning up the volume too.

Other than the different dash controls and nav integration, is there anything that would make the different Bose systems (touring w/o Nav vs. Touring w/nav) sound different, as the OP experienced ? Do they share the same speakers and amps ( I would assume they do).

are you playing mp3/cd or listening to the radio??
the 370z that i test drove had navi and the stereo was terrible, but it just turned out it was the radio station that was weak but that is just my personal experience |

well i know the nav system has a 10 gig hard drive shoved in somewhere so if music is stored on the hard drive maybe it will play better than say, a cd?

I have a '10 with Bose and nav. I will be the first to say it's not the best system but it suits my needs just fine. You can turn it up pretty loud before you get any distortion. I have not heard a Bose w/o nav so I can't compare.
