AS1 line?

I did search the forums first, perhaps I missed it but...

Just had tint installed today on the z (man it looks great!) 35% front, 20% back (Florida legal limits). I asked for a 5% eyebrow, but it looks like he installed it 8" from the roof line. It looks pretty low.

Does anyone know what is legal? I can't find an AS1 line on the Z.

Opinions? Cop magnet? Whaddya think?

There is an AS1 line there.
I had the same thing done on my Z and I love it.
The bottom of the eyebrow (nice word by the way) goes just about even with the antenna(?) imbedded in the windshield.
I hope that makes sense.
Or right around the bottom of the rear view mirror attach point.
Edit:
NOW I pulled out a ruler: I'm about 6" down from the roof line.

I found the line. Lol. It was tinted over

Hate it. Never was a fan of the front tint strips though!

That would drive me absolutely insane. I have sunglasses for that issue. And visors.

Florida allows 28% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) for front side windows and 15% from back windows on.

A windshield strip of 28% or higher VLT up to 1" below the the AS-1 line is allowed. The AS-1 line marking on the Z is located just below the rearview mirror.

Looks better than the Mercedes I pulled over the once with the whole windshield tinted. AND he was suspended.

I'm 6'. It doesn't obstruct my vision at all. I live in Florida, and it's something that makes life easier. It's awesome in the summer.

Here is a full car shot, G/F took a pic at b-fast yesterday:

I'm not a fan of the tint strip but looks like the installer did a good job.

Not a fan of the visor tint strip look, either.
If there was a way they could make it gradient so that it faded clear, it would look a lot better. Those kind of solid looking visor strips beg for a sponsor decal or a banner that says "Powered by Nissan".

Hey if it works for you so be it. It is the only standard that matters, yours.
