then it's not the car, it's you that is reacting too slow to driving conditions... like forgetting to swap to snow tires. :D

No man. I already put my winter wheels and tires on over a month ago. I have the 18 inch base model wheels along with bridgestone blizzak lm 60 tires. I am not crazy enough to drive on snow with summer tires

oh ok. then consider the tire squirm as the reason why it takes longer for VDC to react. snow tires have longer (deeper) treads and use softer compound so it's normal for the car to feel slower to respond to your inputs.

which means, VDC will respond slower too.

i thought smart folks read the internets. :icon17:

It's easier to get the tires spinning (They get the rpms up sooner) in the rain. VDC samples tire-rotation at the same intervals and reacts at the same speed, wet or dry. The tires will have turned more revolutions before VDC does anything in the rain. The back end will have moved accordingly.

are we talking vehicle dyamic control or just traction control? i thought we were talking about VDC that helps the driver's yaw and such, not just traction control. the response is distorted when you run soft tires and push it.

Drive better on wet roads, end of story.

VDC is not doing anything wrong, you are. It is there to correct minor mistakes...the key word being MISTAKES.

Winter tires and VDC aren't going to stop you from losing control until you learn to control your car.

i disconnected the VDC, hated that thing in the winter
