Direct Injection!
I think it would of been nice if Nissan had direct injection or does it? If not, it should of. I would think that would of added more power to the car. Probably closer to 350hp.

I'm sure they will eventually... at least I hope they do.

Nissan neo di engines
Look for engines ending with "DD" for direct injection and ignition.

Car and driver reports that the g37 and m will get direct injection soon. So the z should get it my 10 or 11. They speculate 340-350hp.
|
if that is the case then i will definitely wait till 2010 or even 2011 to get the 370.

Why not ???? 3 years of ownership on this model .... will be just the right time to swap for another. |
Doesnt adding D.I. make it harder to upgrade your fuel system? Isnt that the problem they are having with the BMW I-135 running out of fuel past 6k
|
Who knows. Even though I asked the question I really don't know what it does. Or how it generates more power. I just read it in various magazines.

"The direct-injection V6 is also expected to find it’s way in to the G37 model once it is due for a mid-cycle refresh. And you can be sure the same powerplant will be used in a mid-cycle update for the 370Z."
