z370 noisy?

I really like z370 and want to buy, but I am a bit worried about the noise level. I really enjoy driving and listening to music. I wonder what the ppl here think about the noise level.

Test drove a few Z's. It's a sports car. There is a bit of road-noise. Etc. It is very "tolerable" and I don't consider it an issue at all. The 911 Carrera 4S I rode in seemed louder regarding that.

If "noise level" is your only concern, unless you are coming from a Bently or something, don't worry about it.

Check the DIY section. I think there are some DIYs for dynamat or other sound deadening procedures.

It's really not bad at all but I came from an S2000 so I may not be a good judge.

You say you like (loud) music? You won't have any issues with road noise.

The sport package 370 coupe is loud on the highway. No sound deadening, loud tires, and a cabin that acts like a resonance chamber = lots of road noise.

But it was never loud enough to interfere with the radio or even talking on the phone via bluetooth.

I'd agree with this assessment. I'd urge the op to drive one and see if it's a big deal to him/her. It wasn't for me.

No sound deadening?
Resonance chamber?

Do you literally mean NO sound-deadening? None? I find that hard to belive, unless you were just being figurative/meaning very little. The car wasn't that loud when I took it on the highway. In my back yard, I got it up to 110 and it was comfy, solid, and quiet as any sports car I have ever been in.

Resonance chamber? moreso than any other smaller/sporty car? Again, I did not notice anything bad, but I didn't drive/ride more than about 15 miles all-togather in the 370's.

Not arguing, just wanting to clarify as your opinion seems a little more polarizing than my experience.

I see you have a '10 Z listed in your profile/SN box. What did you trade for, or do you still ahve it and just not like the noise you experience?

I meant to say that the noise wasn't a big issue to me. I still have it. Heck, I just got it :)

Okay, I re-read it. My mistake, sorry!

I have test driven a few and only on one test drive did it seem noisy but it was never loud enough to bother me.

If you want quiet and a Buick

None. Nada. I tore apart the hatch to put in some Second Skin product in and there is literally nothing there from the factory.

And the hatch does act as a resonance chamber. There's no separation from the trunk area as there is with a coupe or sedan that's got the back seat. That's the reason why the roadster (with the top up, obviously) is quieter than the coupe!

I have everything stripped out of the back and the car is stupid loud on the highway, can barely hear the radio. With the mats and plastics in the back it is a lot better but definitely not G37 quiet.

Haha, I drove mine like that once. Took out all the foam from the spare tire area and the mats. I agree, it was LOUD!
