Rice will infect anything. If the ricer can afford it, it will be riced out. V6 Mustangs are cheap so they get the treatment a lot. So are the older 350s... dirt cheap and ripe for infection.

I honestly haven't have any stupid ricers try me or do any ricer flyby's since I got this car. This car, with the right exhaust, just commands respect I think. I usually only get thumbs up or compliments from people.

Nah... "rice" no longer means "asian," it's just mods done to any car in poor taste.

I haven't had anyone try to race me yet. I am surprised considering how many ricers I have drove by. I have only gotten compliments.

While cleaning my car 2 days ago, this white old guy walked pass that had very long hair and looked like a hill billy told me I had a nice car and that I should of gotten a corvette.

I loled and said I thought about it and went on cleaning my car.

I've not been messed with on the road (unlike when I had my 350Z when EVERYONE wanted to race me). I generally make a rule that I don't make eye contact with any car that potentially wants to race me.... and I ensure that I pause for at least 3 or 4 seconds when pulling away at a light so there is no doubt that I'm not trying to run against them. Kinda odd, but now that I have the power in my car to actually win most red light races, I don't even try and will go out of my way to make sure it doesn't seem that way too.

I did have a guy pull up next to me in a 5.0 stang and say "is that thing fast?". My response was, "I'll leave it up to your imagination cause we're not going to find out today"

Perhaps I'm getting old, just don't want to pay for a ticket, or I'm actually trying to be safe and responsible.

It's like in the movies when a hot chick is holding her shirt as a flag to start the drag race.... Why do the guys race away? There's a hot chick standing next to your car in nothing but her bra!!!! Stay there, get her number for God's sake!

I, too, agree. I do get what I believe are invitations to race, and also do not make eye contact, and pull away from the light very slowly. I have no interest in being able to declare my car faster or not as fast as someone else's, especially when determined in an illegal street race. I could not live with myself if a street racer even thought I was going to race, flew down the road only to have their faux carbon fiber erector set rear wing fly off and hit some woman pushing a baby stroller. I'm too old for that $hit.

In the olden days when cars where first invented, we just used to flash our reverse lights at someone. This required wiring a switch into the harness leading to the lights, or some darn fancy shifting!:icon17:

Cool! So that is where the evolution of mods began! I always wondered.

I'd laugh and say there is a reason I got this over the vette. We do seem to get alot of respect in this car, alot of heads still turning and I'm stationed on a island. The anouncer at the track likes to make little comments and everytime I go he say he love my car and "there goes the warrenty, but nice car bro." things like that.

Corona370z 11-04-2010 03:14 PM

I've had plenty of "ricers" do fly-bys and revved the engine at a red light. I just look and drive as I was. I don't plan on wasting my gas on a useless race, money if I get pulled over(let's face it we'll be a bigger target than an Accord with a fart cannon), or even getting into some kind of accident. I get amused when they pass me, even more when I've had a bad day. Now I sometimes rev my engine at the light and let them go as I turn.

You did it right, but it won't work for Facebook. Try using photobucket or upload using the advanced options when posting.
