Hey all..
This is what happens when lightning strikes out in the yard !!
It came thru my sprinkler system into the panel on the garage wall,
and blew it off the wall into the side of my Roadzter !!
If your car is next to one of these MOVE IT !!

Holy crap. Glad the house didn't catch fire. Be sure to take plenty of pics for when you call your insurance company about the house and car.

Holy crap! that sucks...at least the Z didn't get fried in the process. Insurance should take care of it though right?

So does that damage come under the car insurance or the house insurance?

Forget about the house and car. I'm just glad he's alright. I wouldn't want to be standing next to that thing when it went.

It's covered on the car's... Lucky I have a zero deductible on the Z..
Still sucks though !!! 1 year old this month and my first blemish is lightning bolt !!!

wow this is definitely out of the ordinary. how long did it take for the insurance guys to understand what happen? lol

glad you are ok, and glad I don't have sprinklers!!!! We just let the bermuda go brown when its hot out here in Loganville. It always comes back eventually.

Can you put in a fuse or GFI or something, coming from outside into fuse box to avoid future calamities? Best of luck.

About 10 seconds !!!! Once he saw everything else

I had them move the unit to outside of the house.. They make a metal weather proof one now.. Sprinkler guy was blown away when he saw what happen

Yeah a lot of stuff got hit.. All 8 HD directTV boxes got fried !!! Phone lines gone too.. It fried the other outlets in the garage too... Best of all I had 3 fried squirrels laying in the yard that were in the tree when it got hit
