It's a fellow from these forums, first track day I believe - instructor in car. It was light drizzle rain, greasy just damp track. Went too deep late braking into the corner and oversteered, couldn't correct in time or get on the brakes early enough. Once he was on the wet grass he was all done, no braking or steering possible. The damage wasn't that bad, nose, hood, fender, headlight IIRC.

Trust me the Z is a pretty safe car, the airbags work, and i know this from first hand experience

The 350Z was tested at 5-stars. Because the 370Z and 350Z share nearly the same platforms (albeit modified) there is no need to retest the car.

They just figured enough kids would turn off VDC and crash test their own 370Zs for them. They could then extrapolate the rating from the pics posted on this site. Research data is coming in at an incredible rate these days.

I crashed it once, walked away with a seat belt rash. I say its passed by me, so good that after rebuilding it, its still drives like new and after 20k miles all good and sturdy.

I dont recommend testing that crash ur self :icon14:
