The reason why I said I wrecked my car is b/c when you have to disassemble the car to fix a crack in the bumper and rocker cover then paint it that's means it has been in a wreck,maybe not to the tune of the past few wrecks that has happened in recent weeks.
Maybe I should have made myself a little more clear my car is Pearl White and for those of you that work in the body business understand how difficult it is to match that color(being a 3 stage) without blending to an adjacent panel(which is not what I want to do).
Out of all the colors that are the worst to paint are in order Pearl White,Gold,Silver or any variant of them.

dood for a moment there i was like NOOOOOOO!!! this guy just got his overlay :( then i read more... phew... glad your ok man :D and ur car got away with lil damage could have been much worse

Sorry that this happened to you. I had a similar thing happen to my front and I took that opportunity to upgrade the front bumper. I would also have to agree that you are very luck that you didn't actually wreck your Z. If that tire had a wheel in it, then this would of probably been an actual wreck.
