Just interesting question

If this has been asked before sorry.
How long do you plan on keeping your current 370.
Do you plan on paying it off or trading it in after a certain period.
And when you do will you stay with the Z or go another route.

As for me i love the car but my plan is to keep until it reaches around
40,000 miles and trade to either another Z or Vette.

I typically keep my cars 5+ years. I plan on keeping the Z at least that long.

I believe the true investment in car in how long you drive it after it's paid off. I'm planning on keeping mine about ten yrs my daughter may get it and I'll get my next toy.

That's a good question. I want mine to be like the 300zx. Having it until the 370z. That long. I don't plan on selling it because it was a gift from my parents and uncle and aunt.

I typically change every year to year and a half, until two cars ago. kept my 350 for 3 years, C6 for 4 and a half, no telling how long I will keep this one, and its paid off. When I sold the C6, which was the first car I ever kept til payoff, I used the money to pay off the Z, with a little left over.

keeping mine till it dies!

Our 370Z coupe was going to last us at least 5 years. Well, that went out the window when there was a clearance sale on the roadster.

c41006 10-16-2010 10:34 PM

I would like to keep it until the wheels fall off because i am tired of throwing my money away on cars however i am sure temptation will get the best of me in two or three years

daisuke149 10-16-2010 10:42 PM

impossible to answer. because it depends on whether or not another car comes out that just blows me away and of course if i can afford that one.. If a new z comes out and its leagues better I will probably trade up.

"till the end"

"Till death do us part" and I truly mean that with this car. I have owned muscle cars, gt's and trucks. None of them truly "did it" for me until the Z. I do however miss the Charger R/T I traded in on the Z, but don't regret the decision. I'm also getting to the age that I don't want to spend any more money on vehicles. I'd rather spend my money on real estate/investments.

My last car was a highly modified and extremely low mileage 1996 Saab 900se that I bought from my dad in 2007. I sunk a ton of money into it thinking that I will have it forever, but that obviously did not happen because I sold it this summer. I would never set a time frame for when I might get a new car (if I can afford it) but I know I will have the Z for a while to come.

Mine's paid off, planning on driving it for 5-6 years, and then moving it to track use only.

optiontrader 10-17-2010 01:42 AM

Planning on driving it until the warranty expires, then considering FI.

But in eight years, son's gonna want a car - I don't think the better half will want me handing over a TT Z (but then again, in eight years, we may all be driving 600+ hp cars, or electric vehicles).

Either way, 8-10 years I'll start looking for an upgrade.

memorylasts 10-17-2010 01:42 AM

Plan on keeping it until it is paid off, then buying something else to toy with. Maybe endup back in an Audi. Keep the Z as a weekend 2 seater then have a full 4 door saloon S4 maybe?

cab83_750 10-17-2010 03:35 AM

I normally keep my cars for 10+ years. I bet that in 2 years, the new Z may be better --- or a newer Supra/NSX. At that point, Ill decide
