She feels pain!
:mad::mad::shakes head::shakes head::crying:
And i just got her all put together... sigh..... Older man driving an SUV and towing a boat did not realize i was on the outside lane. He then decided to swing a wide right hander into the gas station, and turned right into me :shakes head: http://www.the370z.com/members/nitex...47-zwreck1.jpg |
Well that's royally sucks! What damage did you do to his setup?
|
^ not much really. Main impact was on his rear right wheel. I pop'd his tire and scratched up a small portion of body work. Not much really, and considering it was not a newer vehicle, not that big of a deal.
Now after waiting 2 months for my Forgestars, they want to repair them.. As i hopped on the curb on the right side, and left side was damaged due to impact. I am just not ok with them being repaired. I want replacements and may hold off for Forgestars new design, i cant post pics but i will let you know how i feel about the design soon. I may opt to try to be the first Z with them. |
Wonder how much it'll cost him. I feel pain just watchin it.
|
:shakes head:all the oem stuff looks like its not too big a deal. Hope that wheel is ok and just be glad there wasnt more damage.
|
Not sure, sounded like his insurance is going to try for a partial fault while speaking with them. But i am NOT at fault here and the law is on my side. So i will push hard.
My estimate was at 4.2k from progressive and you now they low balled. |
ouch. bummer man...
|
That blows. At least it is all bolt on stuff.
|
Wheel-base still okay yeah?
|
When my 350z was hit I took it to aldercrest auto rebuild. They did a really great job with the bodywork, can't tell what was painted. The only downside is that it took about 2 months to get it repaired because they have a long wait list. The other insurance co ended paying over 20k for the repairs.
|
Great thanks AZN. Ill look into them, currently I'm scheduled at professional collision in mukilteo. I need to do some research but figured mukilteo has some nice cars and they have been in business for a long time.
|
That sucks! Good luck though!
Be happy you weren't on your R1... |
^ Good point, that would have been much worse. Hell now its my daily... geez..
|
Oh no~! :( I hate geezers with boat that can't drive.
Hope you get that fixed asap! |
dont trip..gives you a chance to hopefully mod the fenders!. Sorry it happened but can be a win win .

I hope you punched him. Or imagined punching him. Or his boat.
|
wait...in NY its all under no fault you just pay your deductible and it gets fixed/replaced and if there is a bit of fault your insurance company can try and get your deductible back for you and or have the other insurance company pay for the repairs but in NY No fault is the law so no one can say its your fault too bad or its his fault get his company to pay for it.
|
yeah im pretty sure its not that way in WA, as his insurance said they may not pay my whole deductible. The cop didnt cite him even though he said turning from that lane in this instance was illegal. But he drove a trailer in the past, and knows he couldnt make that turn from the outside lane. Also mentioned he had a 280z back in the day... Anyways, I dont want an at fault accident on my insurance is all. The deductible is small beans.
I agree its nothing to trip about, it will all get fixed. And i will have less rock chips. Solves my rusted rock chip issue.. lol. |
Diminished Value!

Rusted? your hood n doors are aluminum. |
Sorry to hear and see about this! It def sucks..been there done that...but the Insurance company will help..even with aftermarket parts such as the wheels. Just pay deductable :) Good luck! I wish the Z well

Fuzzy the fenders are not aluminum. I had a chip just above the headlamp on the driver side that was rusting. |
Who keeps saying the fenders are aluminum? To clear the air the only exterior aluminum components on the 370z from nissan are the door shells and hood!

hurts me just by looking at it
|
That sucks man, i have been through this before. The worst part about it is the wait time, hopefully everything works out and push as hard as you can with the insurance companies.
|
That major sux! Hope things work out and you get the wheel issue straight. Best of luck.
