Found something suspicious on my car yester..

I was walking towards my car yesterday and my friend noticed a sticky with typed "NANG" on it put on my license plate frame. At first i was really suspision because i had no idea what that word ment. After walking around the car to check for scratches, I took the sticky off and threw it away. After i got home, I searched for that word and i guess it is a new slang word from england meaning "Cool, Nice, Awesome, etc"

That was a nice surprise and the location they put the sticky was obvious that they did not want to ruin anything on the car.

Anyway, nothing exciting but i still wanted to share with you guys.. :)

USMCASA 09-22-2010 03:00 PM

sure it didn't say TANG?

ZedZed 09-22-2010 03:21 PM

I'm British and quite young but I've never heard that term, none of my mates use the term either :ugh2:.

It could be some very local slang, like some town in the North of England or something.

The word originated in Hackney, London. Specifically Kingsland Secondary School (now sadly gone).
The word is a direct product of one Nang Phan, an ex-student of KS. It came about through boys in years above her chiding "ahh, Nang you're nang". It caught on like wildfire from there.

Someone probably just put that on your car and created a random Urban Dictionary entry to confuse you.

I'm honestly surprised "Nang" is not an American term, since they managed to screw up the rest of the English language..!!
