Missing features

Nissan 370z is great when it comes to features pack, but there I miss some things:

1. Poor visibility -> no parking sensors or reverse camera
2. Poor visibility; when I put the car on reverse, the right mirror doesn't tilt.
3. No mirror folding from remote key.
4. No continuous scan for FM frequencies; I need to update the list manually from time to time, when I travel.
5. The navi has settings for Safety Cameras warning, but I cannot update them...

What problems do you have?

I got this weird bug bite on my leg the other day. It's still a little red but the swelling has gone down. Any suggestions?

What were you driving before, a Honda CRV for middle aged women? :icon17:

antman22 09-17-2010 06:35 PM

sounds a little high maintenance to me. sounds like you should have bought a bmw 335 instead. you get that stuff but will have to replace your fuel pump 3 or 4 times and fuel injectors for it....

Are we talking spider bite? I would suggest hot compress that should clear it up. A little cortisone should help aleviate the redness. I would also suggest u to try to suck the venom out of your leg.

shadoquad 09-17-2010 06:43 PM

I have one small issue, which is that there is only one button on the entire car to open the rear hatch. I can't pop the trunk from inside the vehicle, and there's no easy way to close the hatch without getting greasy handprints all over it.

However, I plan on improving those issues with mods. I want to do some custom stuff. Until then, I can live with it. And I forget all about any issues with the car when I downshift and slam the gas, or when I pour into the apex of a tight corner. It is at that time when creature comforts matter very little.

BeachZTT 09-17-2010 07:22 PM

Albuquerque!!!

PapoZalsa 09-17-2010 07:26 PM

NO car is perfect and the Z is the best car for the money!

Poor visibility is resolved by buying a set of blind mirrors about $3.99 in Auto Zone and can tilt my passenger side mirror.

No mirros folding that is mostly JDM.

I used to be really annoyed by this, but then i realized you don't need the fob with you to open the trunk if the car is unlocked. so you can still pull over, drop someone off and they can open the trunk without you having to either get out and do it for them or give them the key

agreed, but my hands actually secrete detail spray, so it actually just leaves my car looking nice and shiny

sonic370 09-17-2010 07:49 PM

If you buy a 370 better get use to the blind spots. But mirrors can be adjusted.

Yeah, but I want to just be able to pop it from the inside. I'm considering a custom switch and wire job. I think it'd be pretty pimp.

THIS. I've wanted this feature in every car I've owned since the late 80's (don't laugh) when I was in my then-girlfriend's Buick Skylark (don't laugh again). Aftermarkets also hard to find this feature in. They'll scan presets, but not seek frequencies.

Did you test drive a BMW as well? Looks like a feature brochure from a 335i. :p

Jeffblue 09-18-2010 12:43 AM

Not good, you must cut the leg, preferably both... :p
Hurry up, you risk cutting also both hands!

I've read on the Z brochure that you don't need a penis after you buy the car.
So... you are safe
* manual transmission only

Actually.. I own a ML 420 CDI (306 hp) and a BMW X3 3.0 SD (286 hp) and I'm used with those functions.

Z is a dad car! :D

Let's continue with missing features.
- Keyless go It's implemented stupid! Why I need to press the button on the door, when I'm near the car?
See implementations on Merc, BMW or... Toyota IQ.

- stupid warning sound when the door it's open and the engine it's not working. Can I disable it?

Why did Nissan not put a remote trunk release on the key fob? As per 300ZX

No foolin' this is why I bought the car. My decision had nothing to do with continuous scan for FM frequencies.

Not a decision driver for me mind you - just something I miss. When I drive thru other cities, stuck in traffic, AND you can't find any good tunes - I miss this...

...or I turn on SAT Radio. ;)

SoCal 370Z 09-18-2010 01:24 PM

The OP is from Romania. Probably wanted to simply engage with others as I doubt there are many 370Zs in Romania. Instead, we've left tire tracks all over the OP. :shakes head:

Seether13 09-18-2010 02:27 PM

lol, you guys are quite rough on basic chit chat about our cars

Jeffblue 09-18-2010 03:34 PM

its true, i dunno why, i think theres certain things that people get carried away with making fun of, then everyone else chimes in (like me)

bullet1 09-18-2010 08:03 PM

I close the hatch lid by pulling down on the latch. No finger prints!!!

A 370Z in Romania or anywhere else should not be so different than the US ones.

However he chose the wrong topic to engage in conversation, if that was the case! ;)

There are cars with remote control folding mirrors?!?
Some drivers want their doors to lock and unlock whenever they approach or walk away from the car?!?
The hatch on the Z opens and closes?!?

kenchan 09-19-2010 05:11 PM

do the Z's in Romania come with 15" wheels with 205/65/15 RE92's? :icon14:
