Hey guys... just dropped off my car at the Eibach factory in Corona, CA for "suspension development." Can't wait to see what they come up with... apparently there are plans for a coilover sometime down the road from Eibach.

kenchan 09-08-2010 01:53 PM

suspension development a couple of times around the track with no user knowledge at WOT throughout. :p ;)

kenchan 09-08-2010 01:54 PM

btw, why is your car white while your avatar says yellow? :rofl2:

phelan 09-08-2010 01:54 PM

hey, it's all for science! haha

edit: LOL ken i was just about to ask that :rofl2:

Imperial 09-08-2010 01:56 PM

Where does it say yellow??? PW = Pearl White... I don't mind the testing if it get's me free suspension upgrades =P ... and she deserves to have her legs stretched on the track, that's where she belongs =) ...they were actually pretty upfront about the testing required.

phelan 09-08-2010 01:56 PM

yes, your avatar's kanji is 黄(き), or yellow.

wow thread derail...

kenchan 09-08-2010 01:56 PM

アホやね。

tjlazer 09-08-2010 02:01 PM

Well the english description says: "Drives: 10 Nismo 370Z PW M6" LOL

tjlazer 09-08-2010 02:02 PM

So what kind of spring are they working on for the Nismo????

Imperial 09-08-2010 02:04 PM

Oh... LOL! That's my surname, totally slipped my mind that it does mean yellow... also Uy in Fukien or Huang in Mandarin.

Waiz 09-08-2010 02:05 PM

Are you taking them up on their free spring offer?

I am half Fukien and Chiu jow but full chinese lol.

For now they're developing lowering springs... they simply need all the specs of the stock suspension including the sway bars to properly do so... I'm picking her back up on Friday and would, more than likely, have to go back for final fitment testing of the prototypes.

Yes... the prototype suspension will be mine to keep.

Nice, congrats.

I've been running their Pro-kit for about 4 years and have enjoyed it.

kenchan 09-08-2010 02:15 PM

yep, prokit is what i use on my G35C. :p it's good stuff.

so eibach is re-doing their prokit for the 370Z? :icon14: or must be the package deal with dampers and sways. :D

ClemsonWill 09-08-2010 02:25 PM

Wouldn't a coilover require them to build the spring and damper assembly together? Are these springs just lowering springs solely for the nismo?

Thanks... maybe you'll get to check them out first hand at one of the SoCal meets if I can ever drag my *** out to one of them =P

Imperial 09-08-2010 02:29 PM

What they plan to do is get all the specs of the stock suspension and double-check whether their existing Pro-Kit is appropriate for it... if not they will develop a Nismo specific kit.

kenchan 09-08-2010 02:32 PM

^^ ahh, makes sense. cool.

Imperial 09-08-2010 02:33 PM

I also toured the facility and learned quite a bit about their manufacturing and R&D processes... My kind host also explained why good springs don't "settle" and that settling is caused largely in part by improper installation.

kenchan 09-08-2010 02:57 PM

did the kind host also say that their progressive rate lowering springs make your car handle better through quick switchbacks just because it's lowered? :D ;)

Imperial 09-08-2010 09:15 PM

Nah... he forgot to mention that one =P
