Winter is Coming!!
Rain and snow is closely approaching. Will you put your 370z away or will you continue to drive it? No snow where I live, only rain, so I will continue to drive my Z. Discuss.
course, living in Socal lets me drive all the time :D
My little brother went back to college, so I managed to get use of his car for the nasty weather. Only thing is its a 2001 Purple Subaru station wagon
My Z will never see snow, she's barely in the rain
Drove my Z last winter (though not in the snow) and I will drive my new 5.0Z this winter as well (again, not in the snow).
:drama:
This annual topic has been discussed before ad nauseum. Answer 1: My Z doesn't even go outside unless it's over 70F, cloudless skies, and all the streets along the route have previously been street-cleaned in the last 2 days. On any day that doesn't meet these criteria, I ride a bicycle or stay home. Answer 2: On days with any wintery precipitation, I instead drive a junkyard-salvaged SUV with bald tires that I've somehow rationalized is safer than driving the Z with snow tires. Answer 3: I equip my Z with tank treads and routinely drive it into the Himalayas as I've found it handles better in snow than an M1A1 tank. |

My Z is my only car that is drivable in the inclimate weather, so it will be the one until I can pick up a Titan or Frontier.
Never gonna see snow, and has never seen rain. Thats why I got my Forester.
my Z sees all weather. just went through a monsoon today....ok not a monsoon, but a really heavy rain...it'll probably see a little snow/ice this winter.
It'll see winter driving, probably not snow though...
if they didnt use salt and this new icemelt crap here i would drive the G and Z but it's too corrosive for my hobby cars... so no, they will hibernate during the winter.
I rarely see snow in my area. I will continue to drive on dry days.
my nismo hasnt seen many clear days. (hurricane season)
snow???? que???? |
IF is not snowing or ice on the road I will drive it. Other than that it will stay in the garage.
No snow in FL....
But a lot of tropical storms go through in FL.
No snow here just rain. will drive it year round. i get a payment due every month
i'm not saving it for the next guy to brag about how he bought a low mileage perfect condition Z. No put down but never could understand why people hide them in a garage and just stare at "em". |

I'm pretty poor as well.

Yeah there should be more choices here. My Z never sees rain and will never see snow either so I answered yes.

me too haha, plus..I bought a car to drive it...it's not like its a lamborghini or Porshe where it only sees bright sunny days. It's always with me :) BUT when I hear snow or ice is coming...he'll get tucked away into the garage until the roads are 100% clear. I'm also not worried about salt and all that junk..my car gets washed every 2 days..wheather 90 degrees or 30 ;) |

i just dont have the time or energy to wash it and bring it to my detailed standards every time (would take hours just to wash, dry, dress... my full detail takes over 16-17hrs) so the first step is not to get them dirty. im a dad with 2 little kids that need attention... im here for them, not just for me any more. :icon17: |
I've had a few incidents with my RX8 (mainly just swaying from one side to the other side of the road in heavy snow) so from past experience, I will probably just stay inside when it snows.
Fortunately for my RX8, I never hit anything when that happened. |
Yeah most poor people with 400 credit scores are riding around in 40,000
sports car. i guess it depends on where you live. the next time it snows here will be the first time. my car is garage kept and the wife says it gets more attention than her,not true! I bought it as a DD. I can understand if someone lives in the winter states, its gotta be hard watching it snow outside and your Z locked up inside. IMHO. |

Nope, mine gets parked in a heated garage for the duration.
