Im excited... so i just have to share.

Ok so this isn't some fantastic news for most probably but i feel like an 8 year old on the night before Christmas.

First off... i finally found a rear fog and i think it was the only one left in stock in the whole US. Big thanks to Scott @ Fontana Nissan.

Second, i just ordered Stillen CBE and G3 intakes from Vivid Racing.

Berk HFC's will be here tomorrow thanks to Kyle @ Import Parts Pro

SO anyways... im really excited to get all these parts in and i think im going to install them all at once so i can feel the car from bone stock to new monster! (hopefully)

Mods installed so far are H&R Springs.. 25mm/20mm Ichiba spacers. I've never modded a car so fast in my life... she's only got 800 miles on her.

:tup::tup::tup::tup:

nice combo!

tjlazer 08-31-2010 09:17 PM

Nice!! You got a camber kit in it yet?

Jeffblue 08-31-2010 09:27 PM

awesome! how you liking the HR springs so far?

atx370z 08-31-2010 09:49 PM

No haven't gotten a camber kit... not sure if i need one. Do need to go get alignment checked, though. Waiting for the 2 week mark for springs to have for sure settled all the way.

H&R's are awesome. Almost ride like stock. Little plastic "spoiler" underneath the front bumper is getting scraped up a little bit coming in and out of my driveway... even at an angle. It's alright though. No other clearance issues driving around town.

Your car looks sweet, i like the colour combo. I just hope you don't spoil it like a lot of people with silly looking alloys and such :/.

Boost_lee 09-01-2010 03:35 AM

You car makes me want the H&R's. That drop is so good looking

Congrats on the upcoming mods. I was fortunate to get my foglight a few months ago

I like the car with its stock look: alloys, etc. I personally don't like the way the car looks with most aftermarket alloys. The comment was meant as a personal taste kind of comment and in no way was I trying to insult people who changed the look of their cars. So, I should have added "silly" in my opinion, meaning that (in my opinion) it spoils the look of the car. :tiphat:.

gotcha. I love the sport Rays wheels, but i also love the look of other wheels. the color of them is really nice actually.

TongMan 09-01-2010 08:00 AM

How much did all the parts cost you?

atx370z 09-01-2010 08:04 AM

Around 2800+/- for everything.

Im keeping the stock Rays.. I agree that not too many sets of wheels look good on the 370z.

atx370z 09-01-2010 08:06 AM

Forgot to mention.. i will probably get an Uprev tune also. As for "whats next"... not really sure. Might go for some cosmetic stuff. Mines rear spoiler add-on, EVO-R front spoiler (if they ever become available), carbon fiber engine bay peices i.e. engine cover, cooling plate.

CBRich 09-01-2010 08:52 AM

Thanks for helping me decide on the spacers. I am sold on that spacer/spring pair.

I like the stock to monster concept. You will most likely love all your mods. When you say whore out the interior I am not sure if this is for me, but if it works for you, all the better.

ClemsonWill 09-01-2010 12:19 PM

Looks great! What is your clearance witht he front chin spoiler? I bought some H&Rs. I think I'm going to have issues getting into my driveway as well.

Its about 4" off the ground in the center of the front of the car and 3.5" on the sides where it's a little lower.

kenchan 09-01-2010 01:43 PM

looks good. :D congrats on the not so virgin any more brand new Z.

atx370z 09-01-2010 01:52 PM

Thanks!

UPS just dropped off the HFC's... now i will patiently wait for the exhaust to arrive...

hope you or your mechanic are prepared to tackle the demon bolt!

nice mod list, you'll love the way your car sounds with the Berk/Stillen combo.

fixed.. lol

Yeah i've seen a couple videos, but it's still hard to tell what it actually sounds like. Can't wait to hear it! Im guessing it's going to cost me a crap load for the install. The shop im looking at now charges $85 an hour. :shakes head:

atx370z 09-01-2010 04:17 PM

Also, just so im clear about this so called "demon bolt"... it is the one you need 2 feet of extensions and access it through the engine bay, correct? If i can give that one bolt a go before i do anything else and i can get it off quick.. i might do everything myself. I did my springs myself.. not sure how this compares.

WarmAndSCSI 09-01-2010 04:25 PM

Stance looks nice.

So you're running 25 mm front, 20 mm rear? That's the combo I've mostly been considering, so I'll probably go with that.

atx370z 09-01-2010 04:39 PM

Thanks!

25mm rears / 20mm fronts

that be the one, make sure he uses 1/2" drives, anything smaller and they'll flex too much, many many sockets have been broken trying to extract the bastard, if I were you, i'd get some PB blaster and start hitting it every day until the install, give it a good bit of time to work itself in. One of my co workers just did it himself and broke his middle knuckle on the engine when his extension snapped, ouch. You'll need a breaker bar as well, just to make it easier.

holy ****... That's insane. I think im going to go to Autozone and grab some extensions and a swivel and try to loosen that sucker right now. I've got to experience this demon bolt first hand.

stay tuned for updates in about 1 hour lol.

Update: got all the way home and forgot to get the 1/2" swivel. fml

Update #2: F#ck that bolt... im letting a shop do it.

Not worth it! And if you round it with shitty tools from Autozone, you'll be in a world with a lot more hurt.

atx370z 09-01-2010 06:31 PM

Looks like i have to wait all the way until September 18th to get everything installed at a very reputable shop here in Austin. It's going to cost me around 350-400 bucks... =\
