The RX-8 felt so much lighter around the corners imo. It was easy to push around without feeling like you were about lose control. One of a few cars I've driven where you could leave the traction control on and still have fun.

I agree Cmike2780. I loved the handling on the RX-8. I felt as though I could throw it into any corner at any speed and it would hold its line. I hated the lack of torque, the mileage, and the price tag. Not surprised the 370Z came out on top in this review.

I guess coming from the Honda world skews my view of what good gains for the buck are. Because you could bolt on everything you could buy and get nearly nothing.

“neverreally- off” mode of the VDC

All I see is mention of “neverreally- off” mode of the VDC, not the bit about - they also picked the base with sport over the nismo.

What does “neverreally- off” mode of the VDC, actually mean? Also why does base sport model handle better than the tuned Nismo?

I think the Z does pretty good. CBE, HFC, intakes, and tune can easily be 30+ whp.

They are also referring to the Nismo rather than just base so that would cut into some of tha gains of aftermarket parts.

hahaha so sad, but so true.

Mazda needs to fix the gas guzzling on that engine and pop out a new RX-7, perhaps with a turbo to start, just so they can compete in that market. I already admire the Miata and MS3 for what they bring in their respective segments. But Mazda needs a fire-breathing beast again.

Yeah, and those Miata doors are quite something, no? :rofl2:

Looks like they need better drivers, the G37 coupe ran a faster 1/4mile time than the 370Z? Wow FiAl
