When I was looking for a used Z last month I found only about a dozen within a 120 mile radius (a wide net that includes Philly and northern NJ), and most at ridiculous (high) prices. Those priced well had been on dealer lots for 60 or more days, taken as trades. Seems like that would affect resale, at least regionally.

I agree. I live in Tampa also and we bought my wife's 370 used. There were maybe 4 for sale in a 100 mile radius and most of the ones for sale were all base models (which i was not looking for).

Hey, speaking of which -- were you on 275 N around 4:30 - 5:00 PM today (Tuesday)? I think I saw you.

You are only the 2nd (or 3rd) Z34 I've seen around here and the surrounding area :tiphat:

Yeah, I rarely see 370Zs around the Tampa area... I like it that way, haha. Although I see a white 370Z with a big Red Sox sticker on his hatch on my way to work every day because he works at Ice Cold Air on 580/US19.

I see quite a few of them roaming around in the DFW area now a days.

The resale value will differ with location and options. Just because there are a ton of Z's in one area, does not mean it will be as cheap in another with less stock. Simple case of supply and demand.

to me resell of a used z or even trade in value can depend on a few things.
how was the car treated by the last owner was it rolled hard and put up wet.
is there a bunch of after market parts added to the car which will not add value to the car at trade or resell. around here most owners of camaros and mustangs
keep em stock. where as z owners will add mods to there cars.

with sports car you got to be careful either they have had tender loving care
or had the -hit kicked out of them.

I don't see many 370's on the road in my area. I think many people were impulsive, had to have it and then realized it was not a "practical" car for the $$. I noticed on here many people trading for something cheaper and/or bigger.

Baring a serious accident mine ain't going no where!

If you want the car and like it why not just buy it? if you don't take a crap deal and find the deal you want you will be fine

Yes, probably so, but it would have been my wife. :icon17: It is her daily driver and my weekend toy. I have only seen 1 other PW 370z around here and the owner actually works out at the same gym as we do.....Coincidently.

The 370z definitely has a pretty good resale value, especially in this economy. I know one of my coworkers had to unload his '09 last month for reason #1 on that list and he got 25.5k for it on a trade-in, and it's just a base + sports, for a car he probably paid 32k for. On a 60-72 month loan that leaves what? maybe a grand in negative equity after a year? That's a pretty damn good place to be in when you consider you see people on here saying they paid 45k for an Audi and got 24k for it a year later on a trade-in.

Weird.
When I was shopping for mine in April, I couldn't find one within 3 hours of my home town!
