Another useless tire question

Since buying tires for our cars can and is expensive. under normal driving conditions how many miles do you hope to get from yours?

I'm hoping for at least 30,000 but i doubt it.

My tires from factory (sport package 19") I got 17k out of them, I probably could have gone close to 19k but did not want to push it on my first set. With my Hankook V12s I hope to see at least 20k this time.

In nearly 30 years of Z car ownership and granted I live on one of the curvy roads a sports car is made for, I once got 7K miles out of a set, but usually around 5K miles. These Potenza tires feel sticky to me which translates into shorter life. I hated the 7K mile set because they were not sticky enough for me. But I do envy the thought of you guys getting 17K+.

Those tires will last for spirit driving around 12 to 15K if so.

about 12, but I am already on my 2nd set. I sold the stockers before they were worn though. Wanted something better, and the Yoko AD-08s don't disappoint at all. they felt like an R-compound at the Zcon autocross.

We don't have the high temps you get south of the 49th, so I expect a bit more, however, with spirited driving, I saw 17K before I replaced all 4 with RE-11's.

30,000? Man, it aint a Honda civic!

Got 25K from my stock Yokohamas

kenchan 08-11-2010 04:02 PM

i can probably get 20K since i dont drive the car too hard... well usually... ok, maybe 15K.

leave the VDC button on it promotes longer tire life but not as much fun on corners:driving:

I doubt my o.e. set will see 17k miles, would nice though.
