Help please!!!!!!!

My parking lights and tail lights are on and wont go off even though they are turned off, and my windows wont roll down and my car wont start. Any one have any idea what is causing this, or what I should do? Thank you much in advance.

Unplug the battery and give it a few minutes and then plug it back in?

whoady4shoady 08-07-2010 08:25 PM

Thanks, Ill try that. It is really wierd.

Sounds like short on body ECU... try the reset, but might be some fried fuses.

whoady4shoady 08-07-2010 08:37 PM

the intelligent key port is flashing, and a car with a key inside it keeps flashing on my tachometer. I m looking for that in my manual now. Im guessing it has to do with the alarm system.

fullmonty 08-07-2010 10:08 PM

Thats pretty interesting

whoady4shoady 08-07-2010 10:31 PM

Ok I have now reset the battery and have charged the car. The windows went down, but I cannot get them back up. I am freaking out. Does anyone have an answer for this?

If everything else is working but the windows thats a good thing, cause that means it worked. Do the window reset thing which is in the user manuel and that should take care of that

Ztoon 08-07-2010 10:40 PM

It sounds f**king possessed. Step out, and back away from the Z.
No, seriously, I had similar problems. Try disconnecting the battery again, pump the brake a few times, wait 20 min. , and reconnect.

Yeah I found it in the manual. Thank you. Do you guys think I should bring it in to the dealership for this. I dont want this to happen out of warranty and then they say screw me. What do you think I should do?

No need if you fixed it. Sometimes the computers have acted up on some of the Zs. People have disconnected and reconected the battery and never had an issue since

whoady4shoady 08-07-2010 11:10 PM

Thank you fullmonty.

fullmonty 08-07-2010 11:16 PM

No Prob. Did you do the window reset?

whoady4shoady 08-08-2010 11:05 AM

I did, after the fact. They found my battery wouldn't hold a charge and replaced it n.c. under warranty.

Is always good to have those things in your records, doesn't matter if you fixed it.
