What will you do first...

I'm waiting for what seems like an eternity BUT I'm wondering what I'll do first when I get my beautiful 370z.

I'm thinking I'll go for a drive to the mountains. Play with the controls and radio and power windows. I'm going from a '79 rx-7 to a '09 370z. Its hard to imagine having more than two FM presets or no gas smell if I take a hard turn or that fancy 6th gear people keep talking about. No more adjusting points! Yeaaaa! Think of the wonders that 30 years of auto technology has achieved. I've heard rumors that new cars don't need a choke. Can this wonder of tech be true?

What will you do when you get your car? (or what DID you do if you already have your 370z)

Drive from the dealer still wrapped in plastic...
- go directly to my detailer
- from detailer, go directly to get Ventureshield.

Drove and drove and drove...

As far as first things to mod, plan on HFC and intake first.

shumby 02-27-2009 12:06 AM

have sex with the old lady in it. man that was an easy question. Did that with every car I bought so far. Even when I get new companytrucks.

par4bmw 02-27-2009 12:10 AM

^^^ That's one good way to break it in.

Which camp are you in though? Those that believe it should be broken in easy and not pushed hard or those that say ride it hard like you normally do.

shumby 02-27-2009 12:13 AM

my 08 G37S i broke in easy. My09 G37 i bagged on it from day one. these babies can take it.

Replace base stereo with alpine 6.5s, install KENWOOD DNX5120 GPS/IPOD unit. Then, drive over to my dads place, let him test drive it, drive over to my girlfriend's place, let her RIDE in it. Next Day, get windows tinted and drive it around SD some more!

par4bmw 02-27-2009 09:17 AM

Lol, it was intended as a double entendre and appears to have worked.

StLRedrider 02-27-2009 05:58 PM

Clear bra, i really don't know of any body around here that does it. Then wheels.

ENT-Z 02-27-2009 06:06 PM

StlRedRider -- I believe there is a shop on Kirkham road between Brentwood and Elm (Webster Goves area) that does the clearbra. Do you already have a 370z? I'm hoping to pick one up sometime around May or June.

frost 02-27-2009 06:21 PM

Take pictures of it. It will never look that good again!

Jackyll 02-28-2009 11:26 PM

Go to a nice place for some pictures and drive it around for a while. Then tints, powdercoat the wheels, and probably take the badge off the back.

If you want to take off the Nissan one, you will have to fill and paint. It sits in an indentation. The 370Z will come off easy.

I plan on taking mine off once a Z one comes available and remove the 370Z. Do not care for the unbalance look of the 370Z and would prefer just to have a Z in the center.

dharvison 03-01-2009 01:11 PM

I'll do exactly as I did with my 350.

1 - Clearbra
2 - Aftermarket indash unit with GPS, rear camera, Ipod interface, DVD similiar to my AVIC-D3
3 - Window tint

BTW, once you get a rear camera, you'll always want one. No more guessing as to how close you are to anything while backing up.

m4a1mustang 03-01-2009 01:15 PM

Pick it up, take pictures, send to everyone I know.

brisk 03-01-2009 02:49 PM

oh i forgot.
take it for a midnight drive.........

GP370Z_Funk 03-02-2009 12:51 PM
