Time to make a new thread asking when the next Z will be out or should I buy now? :p
If its a hybrid I'll be buying a Mustang
How about the starting the threat debating if it will be a V6 V8 or V6TT.
I knew nissan would bring out another z even though there are a few people on this forum who keep saying the z is dead because current sales suck. We should sticky this thread so we don't have to have any more posts about sucky z sales and the end of the z. I'm buying the next z if it is anything like the 350z.
I'm going to the dealership to order mine now! :)
If it aint some hybrid electric green pussyhippy wagon it will be a N/A V6
390Z Twin Turbo FTMFW!!!! :ughdance:

Smaller TT V6 would make sense in 4 years.. Maybe an automatic will hit 30MPG with it while performing slightly better.
fingers crossed for a 2.0 or 2.5 inline 6 twin turbo? never gonna happen, no architecture or anything, but if they did it would be legendary. but the reviews are SORTA right the vq does feel like its getting on a bit.
I was there during the announcement as well, he also said not to listen to bloggers. Nissan knows what the enthusiasts want in a Z. There won't be a hybrid powerplant. Also that they were just now starting to work on it.
BTW, ZCON was put together awesome this year. This was my first one and must say it is an absolute blast for any Z fans! |

glad to hear the Z will live on in one way or another. the Z has yet to go down in displacement in subsequent generation but i don't see it getting much bigger than it is currently, at least in displacement. i think if anything they should move to a lighter body and more efficient engine. i could see them adding direct injection (possibly before the end of the Z34). more liberal use of aluminum and possibly carbon fiber could really lower the weight improving performance and mileage. cost would go up as a consequence tho. if you really think about how hard it is to improve on a car like the Z33 or Z34 and make the fans happy while still pressing forward, keeping costs down and still maintaing bumper to bumper, powertrain, and paint warranties... it's crazy

^+1. You hit it on the head. To me if you go to dramtic of a change then all R and D will start over for the manufacture and builders.
This is good news. Back at ZDayZ the guy that was on the product development team for the 370 said he wasn't sure if there was going to be a market for a next gen Z.
He was very candid about how they messed up sales & production targets with the 370 at launch. I'm sure they won't make the same mistake again. |

this? :icon14: i hope not. get a yellow one and itll look like pikachu |
If they make another Z in five more years that would be perfect timing for there 45th anniversary.
Retro 240Z.....please!!!!
^ That would be nice. But just hope it's done tastefully. All these retros out there now are a joke IMO.
I know this has already been posted.
But if it was like this, I would buy one in a heart beat. Fourtitude.com - 240Z Concept |

I like this also. The rear needs to be a little different and as the one guy posted it's to true to the original. |
