A good experenice from a dealership!!

I know most time we rag on the dealerships but i like to give credit when credit is due. Had my Z in the shop today to replace the gas filler hose ( gas cap kept backing off even after turning 3 or 4 times. trust me you only want this done under warranty. so anyway while my car was there they fixed the issue with the rear hatch not releasing every time.even though i never brought it up.

i know it's there job but a lot of dealers wouldn't have bothered.
thanks Twin City Nissan.

That's not a fair statement. The dealers are all independent of Nissan, thus if they blow it's not directly Nissan's fault.

Word of advice to the OP, find out who the tech was and always request them when you take in your car. They def. went above their job to have a warranty item listed on the repair order. If he cared once and usually sees your car, and you pick up some of the work he suggests, you'll get better service by him in the future.

theres been quite a few issue in the last few years where nissan basically told the customer to suck it. If i didnt love Z cars, i wouldnt own a nissan

Yeah that was the point i was making not all dealers are the same.
some better than others. most savoy owners when they need one know where to go. my town just happens to have one. hell i even got a call from the sales lady today 3 months after i bought the car wanting to know if everything was ok after she seen that my car was in the repair area.

Great news!..I don't see why techs don't do this more often..they do flag for warranty work even though its at a lower rate than customer pay..its still money in their pocket..

I'm not sure about nissan but When I was a tech with BMW it was a sketchy thing to add warranty work. A good service writer will erase the original RO (repair order) and write a new one with the work on there. The main reason being if they audited the shop and saw a bunch of work added on that the customer didn't request they would be non to happy since your spending their money. My guess is Nissan is the same.

that makes the most sense. about the repair orders. into days times its customers beware. this dealership is in a above average market with 2 nissan
dealerships within 10 miles of each other so they keep each other honest!!

there's been times iv'e played em against each other to lower repair cost
