Change is usually only accepted by those who can afford it.

I got the perm ban for (iirc) blasting those guys for bashing the 370. The reason listed on my ban was "troll," despite being a member there for years.

Eff that site, and anyone stupid enough to not leave it.

I joined when I was looking to get a 350z a few years ago, I remember a particular douche name daviid or something who would always post in the buying a new 350z section or whatever it was. Hed drag threads from the dead with stuff like so how u liking that Z. That place was terrible.

ha, me too actually, I have to find all the strength I can to not post something against the bullshyt those turds spew forth about the 370 when 90% of them know exactly NOTHING about the car. I've settled on the fact that they're all still in denial and still pissy about the 08' they bought before doing research and finding that the 09' 370 would be available in a few months, it makes me LOL a bit actually.

I was out to buy a new Jeep one time and a dealer tried the same tactic. This Wrangler was demo model and just short of 10k miles. The idiot salesman was trying to convince me it was still brand new because it had never been titled. I pissed him off when I asked if it would still be brand new with 50k miles or even 100k miles. I got up and never came back after that BS.

Have you seen the prices people want for their used 09? 29K 30K? It's just as bad

Please look at this joke of a ad for a Z sale. This is a new Z from 2009 that hasn't sold and it has NO TOURING PACKAGE, NO SPORTS PACKAGE! Its probably a demonstrator for all we know and he's asking over $36,000. Lmfao! What a joke. This car retailed at 31,900 in 2009!!
When I do searches, I see ridiculous adds like this all day long. Its ludacris.
We are 4 months away from the 2011 models. 2009 produced only 10,000 units of the 370z, yet, and there are still hundreds of 09 models on the market. And all being sold like they are 2010 models or even higher... I don't believe that there's no market for this car. I believe Nissan dealers bought into the rave reviews and are just plain old trying to get over so it won't sell on the prices they attempt to get them for. What's your take on this ad?

:iagree: it's gonna be even worst for the douches that bought the 2010 mustangs. Any Internet search would have told these fools about the bump in power!

MMC Racing 07-19-2010 10:26 PM

Dealers are probably thinking back to the 350z days when they held prices well into the 3rd model year. The problem is:

1. There wasn't a gap between Z models to have pent up demand
2. The Economy
3. Better competition
4. Price has creeped up while buying power on average has decreased - see #2.

Why are 2010 Mustang buyers "douche bags"?

Mustangs (V8's) have been making steady improvements over the past three years.

If I had $60K laying around, I'd give some hard thought to a 2011 Mustang GT500.

If given the choice what would you buy

2010 V6 w/ 210 hp or a 2011 V6 w/ 300 hp

2010 V8 w/ 315 hp or a 2011 V8 w/ 400 hp

No doubt that Mustang buyers that don't do their homework are in for a rude surprise, but that doesn't answer the question as to why you think Mustang buyers are douche-bags.

NeedforZ 07-19-2010 11:41 PM

Gee Ford finally ditches the 4.6 for the "new 5.0". Love the marketing. I never did really like the 4.6 wonder mod motor. Its has almost a full liter more displacement over our 3.7 and they only got up to 315hp NA from the factory.

He said that those who bought 2010's are douchebags, and then he explained why. The HP diff between 2010's and 2011's is enormous. Got it now???

I personally wouldn't consider buying a 350z, not because I don't think it's any good. It's probably a very good car to drive but rather because it looks pretty bland with unexciting lines. The inside of the 350z looks uninspiring also. All in all the 370z is so much of a nicer car to have. I must say that knowing that people in this forum are much more mature than the 350z forum has helped me in my decision of getting a 370z; I don't want to drive a chav car.

While the 350z looks a little dated now, it looked very unique in 2003.

this is true, when they came out, I was absolutely in love with the styling, now they just look kinda bland.

TongMan 07-20-2010 08:03 AM

I was so glad I didn't buy the 350z two years ago...good decision.

you couldn't be more on target. but most people who buy mustangs are
19to25 year old girls, though nothing wrong with that.
I'd let my daddy by me one to. or people who by them for the looks and
because its a "mustang" and have no idea what there buying.
here in texas there are more mustangs than roaches.

Well I did buy a 350Z 2 years ago and it help me learn about the new Z technology since my last Z was an used 300ZX in 2000.

So I was not blind on some issues when I jump in my 370Z.

To me any Z car has its unique features that you might like or not.

Is all about being a Z enthusiast. ;)

When I was 17 I bought me a Mustang because it was 'fast' and because it was a Mustang. And what 16 year old girl doesn't love a dude driving a Mustang? Anyway, I had no idea about performance or anything of that sort, but the car turned out to be the best car I ever owned and I learned how to appreciate cars and the like and became a bit of an ethusiast. But maybe I'm the exception rather than the rule.

Lemers 07-20-2010 06:23 PM

I have nothing against mustangs. I was looking at the 2010 until I realized the 2011 would a lot better. I just think that someone who doesn't research a $30k purchase should just give it to me and I'll buy them a Nissan versa.

My friend bought his 2010 a few weeks before they announced the 2011 changes. He's still kicking himself to this day

Lemers 07-20-2010 06:45 PM

Ford annoounce it late cause they still had 2010s to sell. But C&D, edmunds, R&T was talking about the power bump in 2011 before the 2010 body style change. So I don't feel bad for those people who bought a 2010 mustang.

Funny, I just paid under invoice for my 370Z Touring Model with Sport Package, Nav, Floor Mats, & Trunk Mat in Platinum Graphite. $39,474.00 and no tax because my trade was worth more and paid for.:happydance:

Hey, I like your way of thinking, my first car was a 66 GT Mustang, then I bought an 2007 Shelby GT, and then a 2010 GT500. Now I own, of course a 2010 370Z loaded.

The 350Z really started to look dated when the 370Z was released
