Not owning a new car I don't think of a warranty. Sorry OP!
Stick with the OEM, he's right!

To the OP, please disregard what you've heard. It's simply a rumor.

+1
I think I liked the Genesis vs 370Z thread better... :icon17:

I have always used OEM in my cars so that dealer don't give stories since it's under warranty. Now, if your car it out of warranty period, feel free use w/e. :twocents:

How did you know Trema ?
Is she talking to you too ????OMG!

Huh? I'm not following. I don't know Trema. And what's old, outdated, etc? The 'Z' monicker? I'm saying it has heritage, not that it's obsolete.

I've read many years about the oem filter using cardboard, and it's a fram filter. Nissan believes their filter is able to filter oil and so do i. I have always used oem and haven't had any problems with it.

Out of curiosity, I would like to remove and look inside your oil pan. Some times you'll find,"what is this", or "what was that"!
