i suppose that's okay. i would've wanted a free case of nissan oil filters and crush washers to go along with it. :p

That's great!, I believe that will be the best you will get, you might be able to squeeze a maintenance plan out of them too.(free oil changes, and tire rotations for 4 years) But that would be tops.

Lug, they did perform a compression test on each cylinder as well as a cylinder leakdown test and from what they showed me (the readings are on the maint. invoice) and to their satisfaction the numbers were good! But just for more "ease of mind" I contacted Nissan N.A. Customer Service and they, I guess for the most part, came through for me w/ this extended (7yr./100k mile) warranty on the engine!

Good to know Nissan doesn't automatically sides with the dealership.

Sweet. The rings would be my first worry and since the compression tests are good, you a lot less to worry about! :tup:

Yep, they look out for their own name even if the customer is dead wrong. It's the dealer is guilty until proven innocent. But their customer service call centers suck. Especially when you get a hold of Bob in India
