Copy Rights must be hella expensive!:wtf2:
I love the Manual Transmission, guess ya'll need more practicing to do!:rofl2: Synchro-Rev Match Mode is genius! Yes, most argue that it's cheating and that you must heel-toe BUT As technology advances things outdated. Manual will soon be extinct. :shakes head: Don't hate, appreciate!:driving: |
I love the SRM, but I really don't use it enough to appreciate it. It's usually off, and the only reason I turn it on is to hear my FI exhaust when down shifting in public traffic. Sure, I could just stab the gas pedal when slowing down and shifting, but somehow I feel less of a ricer when the car does it for me.

it feels awkward at first, but once you get use to it, you'll end up doing that even while driving AT cars that dont rev match on down shifts. :D |

I wonder if my foot is even wide enough to touch both at the same time. :icon17: That and the brake pedal seems much higher than the gas? I dunno, I'll have to give it a shot in an empty parking lot one of these days. |
I believe Porsche offers something very smiler as the SRM on some of their models. The new Corvette is the first 7MT & you see some cars with an 8AT. This is just something to think about.

Seriously, there is no rush out there to add any new technology to a manual clutch stick shift. It won't be too long before they aren't around at all anymore. On the Porsche forums there was a recent discussion of a large dealership that had just ordered 36+/- new 911's and only 3+/- in a traditional manual tranny. The Porsche PDK is about the best out there so that skews it some, but it still makes a pretty sad statement if you are a fan of the traditional manual offering. |

You kids don't know how to drive anymore. Technology pffft. In my days we had to use a whip to change gears. Seriously though I agree with CrownR426. I have been driving stick since I was a freshman in high school, so I know how to drive them. I used to keep it off because of my driving style and Pfft I don't need this confounded SRM. Well lately I have become accustomed to it and I rather like it. I turn it off from time to time just to feel the difference and there is a slight difference. I do appreciate. |
