370z vs. Z51 or anything else cool
I'm considering buying a sportier vehicle and two cars have really shot to the top of my list. 370z and the corvette z51 while I realize these are two completely different cars I have been rather impressed by both of them. Can anyone come up with any other sporty cars I ought to be investigating.

370z... <-- Bang for buck!
You're not getting much more with the Cayman S other than the doubled price tag. The E46 is nice, but again, pricey, and do you need the extra seats? Lotus is nice, with a good price, but lacks a lot of creature comforts and standard options. As for the Vette, most people on here know my reasoning for never buying a 2005+ GM, but it's totally up to you. One thing to consider though is your warranty if you don't plan on modding. |
The Z of course!

There was a kid at my high school who's parents bought him a Saleen Mustang. It was pretty nice up until he floored it and its torque steer put him into a light post. Funny I don't remember him ever getting a new car. BMW is all right however they put a $15,000 mark up on new M3's and there is no way in hell I'm going to hand someone $15,000 for "Market Availability." Maintenance on a Porsche is ungodly costly. And I couldn't stomach paying $60,000 for a V4 with 200HP:).

^^^ ya beat me to it. LOL. Anyway, the lesson is DO NOT BUY A TEENAGER A HIGH POWERED SPORTSCAR! My kid's getting a base V6 Dodge Ram or equivalent at the time. It's big, relatively safe, not too powerful, and stylish.

Any reason why you are not opting for the Shelby Cobra? *verrry nice car, btw* It seems to me that you're a Ford fan.

I went and looked at the shelby cobra as I was having the oil in my mustang changed. And some poor sap stood there and attempted to sell me one with a "$10,000" Market availability mark up.As to theM3's in Phoenix I might just have to take a road trip.
