No poll...

marcussoori 04-06-2010 08:00 PM

Poll available...

PapoZalsa 04-06-2010 08:48 PM

WOW, can that poll be anymore confusing?

m4a1mustang 04-06-2010 08:50 PM

it should have been ONLY about the ECU noise.

fullmonty 04-06-2010 08:54 PM

I got noises but at this point in time no ecu noise. What answer you looking for my man?

Ztoon 04-06-2010 09:23 PM

ECU or no ECU noise? How should I know? It's a high pitched noise.
How about a poll on whether or not this is a totally confusing poll?

frost 04-06-2010 09:26 PM

Sad to see so many people with this issue. I've got sticky hatch and the fuel light problem though.

m4a1mustang 04-06-2010 09:29 PM

I think all 2009s with the "infected" ECU have the whine. If you haven't experienced it yet it's probably because you haven't driven the car enough (mine didn't start 'til around 8500 miles) or you can't hear the whine frequency.

Nick911sc 04-06-2010 10:33 PM

I've always assumed it was ECU noise. It occurs when I put my foot on the gas pedal. But if I'm coasting the sound goes away. Does that sound like the ECU to everyone?

Sounds like something else. This is constant.

Nick911sc 04-06-2010 10:37 PM

Hmm..So does it sound like I have a fuel injector/fuel pump problem? lol

Didn't someone complain the ECU noise came when pressing the gas pedal? Pretty sure I read this a while ago, and a few agreed with the initial poster...

Maybe. But for most people it's a constant thing.

My car used to have highpitch noise when I put my foot on the gas pedal.
same as yours. Replaced ECU and no more highpitch noise. I posted about this few month ago. Mine got fixed.

Vegitto-kun 04-07-2010 12:39 AM

no noises at all 2009 coupe

ZBW39 04-07-2010 01:58 AM

I have my 2009 coupe only for 2 weeks, I heard that constant high pitch noise today morning.

Any solution to this?

AK370Z 04-07-2010 02:00 AM

NO NOISE what so ever. Mine is a 09 370z (3545th Z for 2009)

Great job putting this poll together marcussoori. Thanks.

Tyrell Tyson 04-07-2010 06:35 AM

Thanks for the poll, i can't add to it as i don't have a 370z at the moment i just borrow Frosts car when he is busy working on his "tan".

Come to think of it his car does make squishing noises on left hand turns, can you add "squishy noises" in the poll thx.

Why am i reminded of this

Ok, I have a March 2010 built Z (Base + Sport Pkg) and I can honestly say I have no idea wtf you guys are talking about, either I don't know what I'm supposed to be listening to for "ECU Whine" or I don't have it...

Can someone explain what exactly this is?

marcussoori 04-07-2010 01:09 PM

Thanks/You're Welcome, Hi-Step!

bumblez, yours was the post I was referring to, thanks for chiming in!

XwChriswX, you likely don't have it if you can't hear it. :)

ZCarMan 04-07-2010 03:03 PM

The only "noise" that I have currently have is the music to my ears that my AAM CBE makes! Hopefully I won't have any of the noise issues others have had but at this early stage who knows.

I figured as much, but still wondering can anyone get a sound clip of it to see what exacly it sounds like? For those of us who are unsure of it?

Zsteve 04-07-2010 03:12 PM

I seem to have that noise everytime the wife gets in the car and I go fast.

sinceday1 04-07-2010 07:58 PM

I get the noise as well.. VERY VERY HIGH frequency, it's not a WHINE it's a constant BEEP. If you're older or if you were subjected to very loud music/noise and damaged your sensory neurons, it's more likely you won't hear it.

Was there a TSB released on this issue at all btw?

wishihadnav 04-07-2010 08:00 PM

no high pitch noises here..just the normal clutch chatter.

Red370 04-07-2010 08:06 PM

12k miles, no whine, just the exhaust wailing like your sister on prom night.

I have it on my 09 370z Nismo.

I just checked the TSB website and nothing yet.

If I take it might be hard for the mechanic to notice it if he has bad hearing.

marcussoori 04-08-2010 12:05 AM

I find it interesting there are 3 owners of 2010 coupes who DO have the ECU noise!!

Zsteve 04-08-2010 08:02 AM

my hearing is too bad to tell

Midax 04-08-2010 03:47 PM

I think my 09 Nismo might have this problem. It sounds almost like an old CRT TV thats been left on. High pitch buzz thats kind of hard for me to hear. I have problems making out the high pitch sounds because my ears ring when it is quiet.
