Garage Flooring

I just finished installing my new MotoFloor garage tile flooring. This stuff really is great. All in all, with the paint and supplies, it cost me $1100. Not bad considering how long this stuff will hold up for and the way it sets the garage apart from others. The quality is superb and the look, along with the painted walls, really is awesome. If you guys have done the same, post some pictures of your garage. No matter if its large or small, organized or disheveled, lets see you garage designs.

UPDATE:Just to update after a few days of driving on it, the floor is very sturdy and isnt getting very dirty at all, just the tire tracks. What does get dirty is very easily cleaned or just simply swept off, good stuff for sure.

looks sweet. What's the square footage?

6spd 04-03-2010 01:18 PM

roughly 350

Ive still got to add another cabinet and work bench along the back wall, but thats after I get a shed to put all the other crap in.

BTW, do you have a link to that Craftsman cabinet? I'm looking for something like that.

What if theres an oil leak, is it going to leak in between the tiles?

schrute 04-03-2010 01:49 PM

My fiancee an I both have new cars and I do all the oil changes and clean up, so Im not currently worried about oil leaks. In the future though, it wont be an issue because you can lift the flooring up very easily and clean underneath. It could leak between, yes, for sure, but like I said, its easy to clean underneath.

Wow nice garage. Even a ferrari would look good in your garage.

Sweet looking garage. I'm thinking one of those garage stools with a matching checkerboard pattern would look nice.

Xan 04-03-2010 07:52 PM

That looks great!

Why the shade in your car window, when it's in the garage?

Maybe, when I get the matching bench!

I had just pulled it inside. I had to move it to put the floor down... :happydance:

Do you have a floor drain? I can't see one. Do you ever have liquid on that floor and how does it hold up?

BTW, looks very nice!

6spd 04-03-2010 09:14 PM

No, no drain. I just put it down today, so I haven't had a chance to see what water does on it, except the little bit that dripped off the car because it was just washed. It is supposedly water, oil, coolant, etc. proof.

Thats neat! I remember going to an Autoshow once and someone selling the service. did you do your self?

6spd 04-07-2010 05:30 PM

yeah, its pretty easy, just time consuming. I got lucky because my checker pattern is 2'x2' rather than the traditional 1'x1', and the tiles can assembled by color in 2'x'2' squares. I didnt have to put each black and white 2x2 piece together, that saved me a bunch of time. The most time consuming was cutting 5' worth of edging to fit up against the air handler and a couple circles for where the builder put safety poles in front of the water heater and air handler.
