Oh yeah another good feature for the 2011 is to take away the DVD player and install a blu ray one instead.

I thought the 2010 model already have this mp3 and aux options....i got it on my 40th model....

96bigbody 04-08-2010 07:16 PM

Will infiniti's m56 v8 fit?

bigdog1250 04-09-2010 01:27 AM

Put the goddamn Speedo up in the three gauge cluster on the dash again... who the **** got rid of that thing? That was the only gauge i'd ever use on my 350z.

bigdog1250 04-09-2010 01:28 AM

Also a Turbonator would be nice ;)

Supergoji 04-09-2010 08:42 AM

they should try and get more power out of the engine..
and try to get weight down. thats all it needs.

Sdlakersfan 04-09-2010 08:48 AM

Excellent point, that is the #1 thing I miss about the 350Z - the digital speedo.

brakedrift12 04-09-2010 05:20 PM

trust me, u want to protect the paint first.

I think you have it here more torque makes everything move faster and feel better. The 4.0 liter in the Xterria would help, but its tuned for lower rpms, A sales manager told me the manual gearbox is smoother than the Zs. Give me the 5.6 liter V8, I would even settle for a smaller bore version.

Glad to see some other F-body owners, I have a 97 black WS6 that I drove today and the sound and torque of that V8 was great. The manual trans. in my Firebird is better than the notchy trans. in the Z. Shorter throws, a closer gate, my clutch was surpirsingly heaver than the Z.

mjd77 04-09-2010 09:03 PM

I'd like to see a better/thicker paint job...oil coolers from factory...and a "normal" gas gauge.

370zFORme!! 04-09-2010 11:16 PM

I would love to see them cram the 5.6 liter V8 with direct Injection that comes in the infiniti M56. 420 HP Z FTW!

jeffreyfranz 04-10-2010 11:37 AM

1. Dual clutch

2. Better Clear Coat (or, any clear coat?)

3. Less jarring ride

Oh yes: OIL COOLER

JvKintheUSA 04-10-2010 12:02 PM

Dual clutch
DI
Mech LSD
Targa

If they were to offer that I would have to sell mine to buy one, no question, it would be a killer.:stirthepot:

:iagree:

gamallama 04-11-2010 06:02 PM

1) change the crappy orange LEDs
2) MORE STOCK TORQUE
3) better paint quality
4) Better engine sounds

Lemers 04-11-2010 07:15 PM

The 2011 models need to turn into a giant robot.

370zlove3 05-23-2010 07:24 AM

Usually around what month will we expect some news for the next year models?

Nissan could probably make an engine similar to it, but the Z would be very expensive.

The VK45DE from the last gen M45 would've been perfect in this Z. 325-335 range for hp and tq. Plus it would sound badass.

The camaro v6 makes approx. 304hp@7000prm and 295lbs tq. @5000rpm Why do people keep saying that higher torque is either impossible or will make it expensive?

The Z can use the extra torque. But a thread like this is pointless!!! You know why? Because NISSAN could give a sh1t about what we think... they only make changes when the bogus car mags are unanimous in judging negatively on an issue. And with that, the car mags gotta harp on the issue for nissan to budge.
Nissans are generally good cars, but nissan corporation is full of sh1t. You want changes? Mod it yourself cuz nissan could care less. :(

fullmonty 05-23-2010 10:45 AM

I wish there would be little hooks for me to hang my dry cleaning actually

Lemers 05-23-2010 10:45 AM

Changes are made by market demand and a life cycle on the current model. It costs Nissan tens of millions or even hundreds of millions to make changes to production lines. Nissan will make small changes. But major changes highly unlikely until a complete model change.

Smallywood 05-23-2010 05:09 PM

This thread is worthless...

thekinn 05-24-2010 07:02 AM

two words

Lemans sunset

Revlus 05-24-2010 10:18 AM

Adjustable wings on the Touring seats.

Al_ 05-24-2010 01:05 PM

Another 2 cylinders (v8) and get rid of the dam 155 limit (allow user to disable for track/airfield days).

agray20938 08-08-2010 12:01 AM

Even though I love my Z as it is,
1:Maybe 25 lbs of noise reduction in the back
2:Memory seats would be nice
3: I have always loved the all-digital gauges like on the gt-r even if it's just an option.
4: Im surprised noone has said this yet, but the start button near the transmission like on a gt-r

FL 4Motion 08-08-2010 12:24 AM

to hell with all this stuff in this thread, it'd be great if all they did was add the nismo brake pads and an oil cooler as standard equipment on all sport package/nismo Z's.

(oh, and miata doors too :), yes, I read that thread and it was ******* hilarious).

Epic thread of the year

Dwight Frye 08-08-2010 09:03 AM

All leather interior instead of the cheap fake suede inserts, analog clock where the digital gauge is, analog gas and temp gauges, an oil cooler and either quieter tires (that is where the majority of road noise comes from) or better sound proofing. It is the loudest car I have ever owned and makes long freeway cruises less than enjoyable. I'm fine with the power and torque and not convinced that DI has been perfected enough yet to make it worth the problems.

LateralG'z 08-08-2010 09:13 AM

All I want for christmas is Oil temp, Oil press, & water temp in the gauge cluster. Stronger CSC & MCS so we upgrade the clutch.

I want constant strip club music and a co-driver named Fullmonty.

>135I 08-08-2010 04:10 PM

I think there should be an:
FI option
auto folding mirrors when the car is turned off
and oil cooler included with car.

Mergnthwirker 08-08-2010 04:15 PM

#1) I think they hit a home run with the 370Z styling. The 350Z never got my juices flowing. In another couple of years, I think a total refresh would be a very good thing (keep my current Z unique, give me a reason to buy another). I'd like better sightlines, and a lot less bulky feeling on the road. But don't make it into a Miata (unless you just gotta have them doors!)

#2) This would also be the opportunity to lose some bulk/weight. Today's drivetrain with a 2600lb car would be sick! In fact unless it loses weight, the Z as we know it will be gone forever. Unless the Z loses weight, it will end up with a 900lb battery pack and another 150lbs of electric motors. Yuck!

#3) For the truly hard-core, a twin-turbo version with real Brembos. Gotta have something to scare those 'Vettes & big Porsche's.

I love my car. Can't think of any changes that won't end up making it too socially responsible, or too much of a girly car. Live free or die!

nope not at all I was looking at them online yesterday. Nice looking and fast. But suck on gas. That would make a nice family car with some getup and go but I would still need my own sports car.

dad 08-08-2010 07:52 PM

I would like the 2011 Z, more complaint free. There are far to many people unhappy with their car! The forum is flooded with gripes and complaints, no one can deny that!

:iagree: they complain that it's not as fast as a GT3 or as well made as a Aston Martin. It's not as expensive as those cars either. I believe we got more than we paid for in the cars we bought. Oh and some year soon Nissan will come out with an updated Z very diferent than ours. If you can't handle this fact than there isn't a car out there you can buy because there will always be something faster, something better built and all cars will be updated.

Be happy with the car you have and don't worry about others.
