oh yes some days ago me and my mom were at the lights and a M3 stops next to us and starts looking at the car and I have a easy way to get my mom going.

"mom he is looking at us in a bad way"

she revved the **** out of the GT-R in neutral which got the M3 going.

what does she do?

not just blast off.

nooo race race VDC off.

foot on brake and foot on the throttle.

she launch controlled the **** out of the GT-R and RAPED the M3.

it was awesome

Hah. Nice.

My mom had a 69 Camaro, and there was ONE single time she drove it "spiritedly" - I remember being shocked, but I was also young and not even into cars then really.

even with the megane CC

somebody looked at her while passing her and she flew past him at 120 :roflpuke2:

Hahaha something is so horribly wrong with me this morning; I read that as:

"Meh, it was a 50-yr old woman, I gave her plenty of secks."

To get back on topic, once I was stopped at a red light, when that silly Soulja Boy song "Kiss me through the phone" comes on the radio. I immediately changed the channel, since I'm older than 14 and and have a certified, drunk chicks tested, mothers' approved man-part. No sooner after I changed the radio station, some kid in a fart can Civic pulls up blasting the ****ing Soulja Boy song :ugh2:
So the moment the light turned green I jetted out of there, but the Civic kid took it as a challenge and started chasing after me with that song still on full blast. Luckily I had to turn a couple of blocks down, but that was probably the worse six or so block drive of my life.

It could mean so many things...either you don't approve of the car, what they're doing on the road, or you just know your *** is going to be beat by whatever wants to race you so you're tucking your tail.

When I was cruising in my Camaro (no slouch at all, with 520 WHP on the juice), some dude instigated a race with me. And by that, I mean he was revving the crap out of me at a light, and then took off. So, being the middle of the night with wide open road in east bum **** Omaha, I didn't back down. Smoked him. He sticks his hand out and gives me a thumbs down. WTF is THAT supposed to mean? lol

If you don't want to race someone who's instigating, either don't look at them, or just laugh and ignore it. Giving a thumbs down just makes you look like a vagina.

+1

Additionally, street racing has been given a bad rap because of the idiots swerving in and out of cars on highways.

I remember about 15 years ago the private events we would hold. 300+ cars would show up and we would run all night long down an old road. Cops would drive up, park and watch.

If someone nudges me at a light and it's safe with no traffic - hell i'll usually bite for a little bit.

Exactly...that way his next post would be...dear forum, what is an increasing radius?

Horseface 03-19-2010 10:37 AM

I had somebody pull up along side me in an early 2000s Mustang GT on the freeway last night. I ignored him and his engine revving until he sped off ahead of me, showing the freeway traffic what a huge penis he had.

10 minutes or so later, I hit traffic. As I crawled forwards, I could smell a terrible smell and the air was growing thick with smoke. I eventually discovered what it was. It turns out that racer guy had decided he wanted to stop racing and instead take to his feet because his car was on fire.

Let me get this straight. You are "babying her during break-in" and running 100mph fast-and-furious all at the same time. OK then. The Golf is a good-looking car, btw. Was it a GTI?

I have been staying under 4k and not running at WOT and granny shifting since day 1. You know you are under 4k in 6th when your are doing 100? And in my defense I hardly pressed the gas down. I'm sure you know the difference between 75-100mph is probably about 1/8" pedal depression. And the Golf looks like an 80's hi-top sneaker. It wasn't a GTI either. Looked like some base model. Maybe L/A gear or British Knights :roflpuke2:

mick 03-19-2010 12:53 PM

i drove to work today and on the right lane was a brand new corvette zr1, the one that costs $107K
the driver didn't drive it like a street racer though. he's still babying his car :)

Granny shifting? you should be double clutching. You better watch it or you will blow the welds on the intake.

Damn that movie got everyone thinking its 100% true...

Red370 03-19-2010 06:49 PM

BTW, i'll be selling the MoTec System exhaust I have on my GS-T, i'll be posting it on ebay with a $12,000 USD reserve, i mean, with race wars around the corner, these things have to go for a premium.

j.arnaldo 03-20-2010 01:48 PM

Envy?

fullmonty 03-20-2010 07:08 PM

So since it was nice out the past couple days all I did was drive around. Got tumbs up from Miatas to 911s to Peterbuilts. The security gaurd at the bank walked outside and stood next to my car while I was inside, then bsed for 15 minutes about the car. Felt big pimpin' with a security gaurd next to my car.

m4a1mustang 03-21-2010 08:29 AM

So in the last few days I've started to get the feeling that the VW GTi tuner crowd is pretty hostile.

On a side note, after having the car for a year (holy crap!) It still gets just as many double takes as when it was brand new, and children's reactions to a bright red sports car are just priceless.

NCSUPACK09 03-21-2010 09:46 AM

The other day I was driving down a two lane road which was turning into a one lane less than 500 ft in front of me. I had a pizza delivery guy behind me in an old Honda Accord, and what does he decide to do? Floors it going into the other lane and barely gets in front of me before the lane ended.

efuseakay 03-21-2010 09:12 PM

I get that in my '04 Maxima. Around here, let them screw around. 1/4 mile later, they will most likely get pulled over... and it's happened on many an occasion. I have better things to do. :)

Seems like around here if I'm lucky enough to have a cop ahead they don't do anything anyway... Same thing with dump trucks riding the left lane... :shakes head:

Oh. That happens a lot too... especially with just the speeders... there's this one 3 lane road by me... speed limit is 45. The cops are there EVERY day. I never go above 48 on that road. People are flying by me doing at least 10+, and nobody gets pulled over. I know one day, if I decide to follow the pack, I'll get singled out. lol

And it doesn't help that I sound like:

THIS

:driving: (Oh wait... it's an auto! lmao)

gotta get there in 30 mins or less I guess.

Diocletian 03-22-2010 06:49 AM

Last night I had some dude in a beat to hell Yellow Pontiac Trans-AM with terrible body work, which is a shame because I loved that car. I guess he saw that I was the same color as him and also a Z so of course he gets right beside me and floors it. This was at night on a 3 lane highway that had construction going on...Anyway, he "speeds" past me and proceeds to slam on his brakes to avoid smashing into a slow moving car infront of him. :)

Do any of you find yourself looking back in awe every time you get out and walk away from it? every single freakin' time for me, my coworkers make fun of me for it. I'm in love with my Z.

Yes! My friends think I'm weird too. First day I brought it home I was looking at it while walking up the stairs to my place and hit my face on the door lol.

I've smoked in every car I've owned with the exception of this one... I just love getting out and staring at it, and watching other people driving by stop and look at it in parking lots.

NewlyIMPORTed 03-22-2010 12:27 PM

i always try to be sneaky about looking back at my car but it never works

Red370 03-22-2010 12:40 PM

haha, i've almost ran into things many many a time, they also make fun of me because I wash and wax weekly... say I have OCD and shyt, screw em, they dont drive a Z :)

370zdub 03-22-2010 12:47 PM

Every time I walk away from mine I do a double take. I try to be discrete about it but it never works, I'm just glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

Red370 03-22-2010 01:03 PM

been driving mine since last July and still do it every time, you are not alone in this my friend.

RandyJamesA 03-22-2010 01:49 PM

I like driving past windows where you can see the reflection. Watch the traffic though.

^+1 for loving the car

NCSUPACK09 03-22-2010 04:00 PM

My wife makes fun of me when I look at my car as I'm walking into our apartment.

Urzakor 03-22-2010 04:45 PM

I tell customers I drive a 370z when I sell cars at a Honda dealership.
