Driver Side Door Handle

I just bought my roadster a couple weeks ago and my driver door handle sticks sometimes. Is anyone having or had this problem before? I have to go through my passenger side to open it from the inside. I though it was a fluke thing, but it started happening more. I was afraid I was going to snap it off if I pulled any harder. Once I open it, it'll be fine, then it'll stick again...

Doesn't sound like anything a trip to the dealer won't fix.

Nope, never experienced this.

Had a similar situation with my 09 sentra. Easy fix. Just take it to the dealer.

I HAD the same problem but I figured it out.

What is happening is that the seat belt buckle mechanism is getting jammed between the door and the seat when you close the door causing outward pressure on the door. When you try to use the FOB or outside door button, it isn't strong enough to actually unlock the door. For some reason, using the inside unlock button and opening it from the inside does work.

Since I figured that out, I always make sure the buckle is stowed all the way up and not jammed between the door and seat - no more problems. Hope that solves your problem as well.

No, that wasn't the problem for me. The dealer ordered a new door handle and cable. They said the cable is shorter so they were going to replace the two units. On the passenger said, you just have to lift the handle slightly and the door will open, on the driver side you have to pull the handle all the way forward and it still won't open... Good thing we have roadsters so all we have to do is reach over... :bowrofl:

Ain't that the truth. Worst case we just use the FOB to put the top down then reach in and open the door.

Why does it matter if anyone else has had this problem? Just take it to the dealer and have them fix it. No biggie...
