Thanks for the info on the trans, sounds like it's the same trans issues as the G. Synchos seem to go bad very quickly. How is the tire wear, can I expect the same type of neg camber issues as my G? Ive just replaced out my clutch and what a difference it has made, my car is fun to drive again, but damn, I've put about 8k in 40 mo of ownership from new clutch, oil changes, 30k/60k mile services, brakes and the biggest culprit being tires(I run hankook ventrus).

I'm not complaining since the maintenance othe than tires have been minimal but with the depreciation of the vehicle, I'm beginning to think maybe a new ride will be better and I love the style of the 370z. Test drove a mustang 5.0 and it feels so disconnected from the road compared to my G so that is out -- but man can that car get up and go. LOL

My complaint is that my car is too good looking and I can't stop thinking about driving it.

WOW the clutch went out that quickly? How much did it cost you to get it replaced?
It seems in the long run it's going to be expensive to keep getting it fixed if it goes bad that quickly.

It blows my mind that a handfull of failed parts on ANY vehicle classifies it as a fault. Seriously how many 370Z's have failed syncros?

Tire wear will be normal with your alignment set to the suggested specs with non-agressive driving. Doing brake stands, dumping the clutch, racing, or any other type of agressive driving will cause agressive wear on the parts. It's possible people with abnormal tire wear are not within specs from new. Most people don't bother to do an alignment on a new car....

it needs to be faster.

damn you parents always kicking my *** in the GT-R.

I love my car~

SO TRUE,, I have gotten 32,000 + miles from the OEM tires <>Drive fun,, use common sense.. Knowing you in a bad assed Z car should be enough, you don't have to always show everyone,, Take a lesson from the porsche's + vette's.. Driving slower allows you more time in the Z and less tickets,, I am so over getting tickets.... ENJOY THE RIDE
See you in San diego for the 2013 Z convention, I hope>

I got my clutch replaced at 74400k miles. Again, I got my car used so I'm thinking that the car probably was abused by the original owner. Since having the clutch replaced the car really grabs and is a lot of fun to drive again. I've been driving standard since my very first car (almost 18 years ago) so driving standard hasn't been a big deal to me...something I definitely prefer unless it's a SUV or truck :)

I wasn't looking to fault the vehicle, just trying to see if some of the common 'characteristics' such as neg camber or synchros going bad were a common characteristic of the 370z. When I got my G; I knew neg camber would be an issue unless you looked to get camber kits (my attitude was the car was designed for this so it could improve the handling) but with that; came premature tire wear so I knew that going in. Will common characteristics such as racing and pushing the car constantly cause things such as clutches, tires and even the trans to wear out faster - sure; I agree with that so I'm not saying a lot of issues aren't caused by 'user error' but I don't think it's wrong to see if there are 'common' issues with the new Z.

So hopefully what I was asking wasn't taken the wrong way is all. :)

for anyone that doesn't have the heated mirrors you can do this fairly cheap.

Mirror Glass Plus: Universal Heat Grids

I'm sure you can find cheaper, I am actually looking for a place that will have heated and dimming. Found tons of switches on ebay as well for heated seats or even folding mirrors with the heat function from maxima's etc or infiniti's.

My only complaint about the 370 is that it is too much awesome.

My problem is I can't stop staring at my car's legs in my side mirrors, they look so sexy. Maybe I should start driving in reverse...
