5'10" 250lbs. seats are good for me. They only get uncomfortable on long road trips. (8 hours in a day or more)

I'll have to check out the NRG seats. I'm 5'8" 250 and I don't have any issue with the base of the seat, just the back and that has never been an issue in any other of my cars. I feel like this is gonna turn into a personal ad everybody listing heights and weights lol.

Yup, my wifes Highlander does if I remember correctly, but yeah, have seen it on more than a few cars. They use them to form the side airbags along the door.

My Frontier has airbags in the seats. If I get in a wreck, I expect my eardrums to blow out from all the airbags going off.

The Z I think has them as well as along the headliner around the door and of course the steering wheel.

That being said, I'm 6'0 and 290lbs. I fit comfortably. If anything the sides of the seat dig a bit into my legs, but, it's not really worth noting if I'm centered in the seat.

Worst thing for me is that I don't like the bottom-hinged accellerator, and, I don't like where the center console ends up in relation to my knee, and where the acellerator pedal is anchored. Console needs to move to the right about 1" and the acellerator/brake assembly needs to move about 1" to the left for it to be a whole lot more comfortable in that area.

Upon further review and driving my Z today... the side bolsters on the mid to upper back ARE in fact kinda close. I guess I never really noticed this but unless you are pretty thin you definitely will notice the next time you are driving it. It doesn't bother me really but I do know what he is talking about now. (It's not the headrest bar in the seat, it's definitely the side bolsters)

UPDATE:

Went to another dealer in order to sit in a base model with cloth seats versus the leather I sat in and reported about. Totally different experience. Very comfortable and supportive and nothing like I felt in the other seat. I can happily say that the Z is still in the running for my next car, now, if they can find the one I want then we will be in business! Thanks everybody for their opinions and insight!
