On a positive note...!

My dealership (Smith Nissan, Fort Smith Arkansas), made my oil change and getting my TSB parts ordered, quick and easy. 30 minutes, parts ordered, $36 oil change :)

Which TSB parts? Hatch Springs?

chuckd05 03-02-2010 12:55 PM

hope u got the right oil

vipor 03-02-2010 12:56 PM

probably got some Nissan 5W30 non-Ester at that price.

oil is oil man. let's not stir this up. if you get it changed regularly (3k in this case) it will be fine.

got my TSB hatch springs put in this morning. They didnt even check to see if it wasnt opening. It opens real good now.

i cant see myself taking my 370z in just for the oil change and hatch tsb...

vipor 03-02-2010 03:45 PM

Then you don't love it enough.

kenchan 03-02-2010 03:47 PM

nono, i luv the car so much that i'd just do it myself.

vipor 03-02-2010 03:53 PM

I do my work myself (so far anyways) but for the TSB I knew that wasn't an option.

kenchan 03-02-2010 03:58 PM

actually they will give you the parts if you ask. at least my dealers have done that for me.

vipor 03-02-2010 04:04 PM

For a TSB the shop doesn't get paid unless a tech does the work. There has to be labor attached to it for them to get credit. Maybe the place you go just "handles" that part of it.

Actually, I got mine done under warranty, but there was no TSB. I still think it works the same way though.

The dealership is right out the gate of Ft. Bliss so during lunch I just stopped by and they printed out some paper work for me to sign and then it took 2 minutes to change out the parts. They need it signed for proof of fix I guess.

As for the oil change I bought the stuff and they did it for $12.50 labor a week ago. Cant beat that price for labor plus I got the royal purple oil and K N filter on sale for $40 total at O'riellys. So $52 for complete oil change with quality products, alot better than $110 for their way.

I got to free oil change from the stealership so I'm going to use it even that I know that they are not going to use the most exoensive oil.

I also want to car to be register in the Nissan/dealeship database.
