What do you need to make an Iowa joke for, are you an OSU fan or something? Because lets face it, their jokes won't be taken serious for years... Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean because Ohio and Iowa are pretty similar.

Both are four letters, start with a vowel, and include two other vowels:ugh2:

Sorry. Just the way my sense of humor works.:p

I will give you this, Ohio is a much better state for roller coaster enthusiasts, hehe. I like Iowa though, people are really nice here and everything is really cheap.

 Thanks. It was my first car, purchased in 1981. 1968 Le Mans with a factory 4 speed, 350 cu in V8, and posi-traction. The pic was taken the day I bought it. A year of work (dual exhaust, 3/4 cam, hydrolic lifters, intake manifold and 4 brl carb off a Firebird, some paint and all the crap you have to do to an older car) and it was pretty sweet!

(sorry for the thread jack!)

So I decide not to get my vanity plates again since I move here to cali. Its easier for cops to spot u. Better to have mix letters and numbers so they have a harder time remembering it when u try running away from them

Not even sure how to respond to this one...

I'm guessing if you're dumb enough to run from the cops at all, there probably aren't so many 370Z's that you'll just blend in like a VW on the German autobahn...

I'm guessing it would go a litte like this:

"Hell no, I can't make out the plate number but it's a (fill-in-the-color) 370Z heading (fill-in-the-direction) on route (fill-in-the-number) !"

Maybe there will be 10-20 other Z's on the road with you and you'll get lost in the mix.

Not a Z but saw this on the road recently:

I thinking that means the owner is a mech/crew chief/flight engineer/pilot on CH-47 Chinooks. We call ourselves hookers because the aircraft is often called just plain "hook". Seeing how the poster is at Ft. Campbell, & I know from spending three years there myself in the mid 90s, there are a bunch of hooks there.

Ish, still working on them, going on 20 years now.

And because the flying shortbus is called not just hook, but SH*Thook.

Hooker is also a position in rugby. it's the middle guy in the scrum who tries to "hook" the ball back to his team mates with his legs.

There's a reason why, we don't drive Honda's... And we don't live in F&F movies. But of course, it's whatever makes you (the owner) happy... :ugh2:

nmjaxx9 08-20-2011 12:36 AM

What are you talking about? I live my life a 1/4 mile at a time. :icon17:

ProfessorDave 08-20-2011 03:17 PM

I tried to convince a co-worker with a 10 year old Honda Civic to get something like "CHPBSTRD". But because he is a cheap bast*rd, he won't spring for the extra cost.:p

Could be misconstrued to "Don't Hate Me"... :icon17:

Skeeterbop 09-06-2011 09:09 PM

Either way works for me!

Skeeterbop 09-06-2011 11:29 PM

Been thinking of possible plates. These are on my list so far:
GTDONTS (GoT DOughNuTS)
RCNGHEN (RaCiNG HEN, a Top Gear reference)
DNTHTME (DoN'T HiT ME)
HNSTETH (HeNS TEeTH i.e. Very rare or impossible to attain)
