I average 18.5 mpg, mostly city driving. With 2800 miles on the odo, I expect that to gradually improve.

highway mileage on any small car even if pretty powerful is going to be fairly similar. the upper limit of my altima on highway (EPA rating) was 31, the Z is 28. I actually get 24 all around combined driving. the thing is, its easy to calculate highway fuel economy, but local/city driving, theres too many variables. one persons local driving could get much better fuel economy than anothers, just based on location, time etc, its not all about having heavy foot or a powerful car. i'm sure there are people who do worse in a honda fit local than some people do in their Z local, just depends where/when

Vegitto-kun 04-22-2010 08:21 AM

average 21,5 mpg

nuTinmuch 04-22-2010 09:39 AM

I'm around 21mpg. I've seen as high as 26 and as low as 14.

Average 18.5mpg, sorta have a heavy foot on takeoff and love to gun it to merge into traffic.

BrianMSmith 04-22-2010 07:33 PM

24.9999 mpg average over a couple months. 90% highway. I am a gentle driver 98% of the time, a mad man the other 2%. That's very good for a car that can rip it up when you want it to.

Matt 04-23-2010 12:08 AM

I'm lucky to hit 16 mpg on a regular basis. I don't really care though. :)

AK370Z 04-23-2010 12:23 AM

Fuel economy? Tell that to my right foot

Frankly, never looked at it or bothered with it. Car throws the signal "empty tank" and I fill it up and drive like this :driving: until the next fill up.

When my dad was in hospital (October 2008 for 25 days), I used to fill up EVERY 3 days! That's $55 dollars EVERY 3 days religiously

guys getting 24+, good job...

best i've done was 28.5 ish on a 500 mile hwy drive

NCSUPACK09 04-23-2010 03:37 PM

Here are my findings so far:
City:
Aggressive: 13-17 MPG
Conservative: 19-20 MPG
Highway:
55-60: 30 MPG
60-65: 28.5 MPG
65-70: 27 MPG
70-75: 26 MPG
75+: Below 26 MPG highway rating

I drive about 66% highway - 33% city and usually get 21.5-22.5 MPG

Forrest 04-23-2010 08:27 PM

20mpg with mostly city and some highway every now and again.

370Z JT 04-25-2010 09:13 PM

first time fillup:16.6MPG
2nd time fillup:18.8MPG

Hoping for 20MPG on the next fill.

Those Aussie gas prices are insane! I pay $2.75/gal of 93 octane Shell V-Power (with nitrogen), or Texaco with Techron.
